Supernatural✭✭✭✭@brandonv516 Trials are completely different. Maelstrom is all about burst damage, at which the stamina nightblade excels. But in trials, sustained damage is key, which stamblade lacks. I tried VMA a couple of months ago on my Stamblade with VO and... I think TBS and could not get past stage 2.

My skills on my DW are: Killer's Blade, Rending Slashes, Surprise Attack, Resolving Vigor, Steel Tornado, Soul Harvest and on my Bow: Relentless Focus, Endless Hail, Rearming Trap, Razor Caltrops, Poison Injection, Ballista.

Supernatural✭✭✭✭@IzakiBrotherSs @Wrecking_Blow_Spam In the one tamriel update, Viper does around 14-17k damage depending on enemy resistances, making it best in slot for a stamblade, as we already hit the 10k penetration mark with sharpened weapons and major fracture from surprise attack. With NMG you will be over penetrating a lot of mobs in vMA, and hunding's 300 weapon damage bonus is not that noticable.
Cannot really say if Viper will still be best in slot for the homestead update.
