Night time more than usual at my house

So, I'm not 100% familiar with the timings of day and night, but why does it seem like its night time almost every time I go to my home?

I own the Strident Springs Imperial style home in Reaper's March.

On a side note, why is the inside of this house always dark? Seems like it requires more lighting than other friend's homes to even look dim. I have at least 10 sconces in the main room on the pillars and walls and it still looks gloomy.

Not only does it seem nighttime more often at my house than in the normal game world, it also seems to rain way more at my house than it does in the town my house is in.

I understand they're all instanced, but you would think it would have the same general settings for time and weather as the immediate area the house is in.

In addition, the lightposts outside seem to barely light anything up. These are turned on.

I agree, those especially seem quite stingy with the light they give off. Seems barely noticible.
