they prolly should be account based or considered a depositable fund like Tel Var so you can at least bank em.

and don't worry, the market is finite and the supply is infinite, prices are plummeting and they just came out :P

Just make sure you don't open the master writ when received out of the regular writ turn-in.

That way, you can transfer the sealed master writ to the character of your choice ...

Who still needs to fulfill the requirements ...

So people like me, who split crafting between multiple master crafters, are getting screwed.

No because you put the sealed writ in your bank and withdraw it on the character you want to do it. :)

I think he's saying for example... one of his characters are masters in alchemy, provisioning and enchanting and another is masters on blacksmithing, clothing, and woodworking... so this would still divide his vouchers between the 2 characters who would be able to complete the master writs...

But they can't share the results since the vouchers are stuck. So you have cases like my Provisioner who knows every recipe in the game but doesn't have the motif knowledge and my gear crafter who knows most of the motifs but just a handful of recipes. It's ridiculous that I have to either sell a master writ I am capable of making, spend 40K on a recipe I already know, or add vouchers to a character who won't have enough to buy anything I want until 2019.

Its easier to spread some crafting skill costs across multiple characters and having their gains in master crafting also spread across them is somehow screwing them?

    Exactly.
All 4 of my mains have all crafts maxed and crafting skill points spent but i divided the research and motifs across them.

Meaning only one of them is a 9/9 woodworker with all needed woodworking motifs while another is a 9/9 blacksmith with all needed motifs for blacksmiting and another is a 9/9 clothier with all clothing motifs.

So in my case, i have the vouchers for the gold level writs spread between 3 characters.

PS: The writs that don't require special motifs are fine and can be completed by any of my mains.

@SirAndy, for a regular forum-goer as you are ... are you saying you totally missed this part of master writs?

In the month and a half the voucher system has been out on PTS and Live??

Pardon me if I don't believe that you had ample time to react on how master writs and vouchers work.

Regardless, you're still getting the same vouchers in total (based on the collective experience of your crafting characters) ... so I don't see how that equates to "getting screwed".

Where did i say i missed anything?

What i *did* say is that i agree with the OP that vouchers should be account based, not character based.

I can only complete writs that require 9/9 trait items on certain characters (spread between 3 characters).
So the part where i'm getting "screwed" is that i can not accumulate all my vouchers on just *one* character.

Effectively, i need 3x the amount of vouchers to craft specific items compared to someone who only has one crafter character.

Well, I hope ZOS will make Writs account free, there is no use for restricting characters and players in such manner - especially when they all share houses.

Well this part of master writs / writ vouchers managed to utterly pass me by - until I tried to deposit vouchers in the bank.

For vouchers not to be account wide makes no sense. It makes a mockery of crafting as like people above, I have numerous crafters that might do for example food & clothes but nothing else (bit of rpg goong on sadly). But have maxed out crafting just not all on ond toon! The time & skyshards it would now take to level up other crafts is ridiculous.

Seriously unhappy. Can someone please explain logic behind this to me.

Certainly. If they're not character bound, you can put them in the bank. If they're in the bank, they can be stolen by bank robbers. If bank robbers can get writ vouchers, more people will rob banks. With all the banks robbed, the system will collapse, you can't exchange goods with alts any more, chaos ensues, and the spine of bankruptcy is erected.

That's the best I can do, but I have a feeling the real logic is even worse.

Provisioning is the most irritating. The recipe is known to my provisioner, but not the one I've turned into my primary writ crafter (primary has motifs unlocked, provisioner has recipes), so to make it, I have to learn it on my primary, only it's a purple that doesn't drop in top level writs, so the only copies are priced at 40K, for a writ that gives 2 vouchers. Ridiculous.

Yeah, I agree...I think vouchers should be able to be "banked" like gold. Why are people who spread their crafters across different characters punished? I'm not in this position - I have one Master Crafter - but I really feel for people who can't accumulate vouchers into one pool. They should not be placed at a disadvantage because they chose, either for RP reasons or skill point conservation, to have specialists. How was anybody supposed to know ZOS would institute this system with no way to transfer vouchers across your account?

For what it's worth the number of vouchers you get from consumables master writs pales in comparison to equipment master writs. Small consolation for those impacted by this though.

Yea, well, if you split crafts like this, writs aren't your problem.
