On xbox when you zoom in and out on the world map and scroll around if you have alot of wayshrines and stuff on there it drops your fps to like 1 and can make using the map pretty annoying am I only one who gets this problem and will ZOS ever do anything about it?

    You're not the only one.....but often times ppl say "use add-on" which we don't have so until ZOS starts playing their console game on a regular basis......we will have to keep bringing things up and offering logical QoL suggestions for improvement

    I have all the vanilla zones discovered except for 3 lacking 100% so I can relate

    I don't believe this is a fixable issue given the limiting factor is the controller. It looks to me several features were combined in order to facilitate the fewer user input options the controller provides.

    I don't see a frame rate drop as much as I see the console struggling to move the assets as fast as we're trying to get. I know PC players can zoom the map while moving locations easily enough, but that's something that struggles on the console.

    I now just do one "command" at a time, rather than trying to use the map as intended. Zoom first, then move, or vice versa. It seems to help.

    Of course, a solution ZoS could provide is to put a map on the HUD instead, so I wouldn't need to use the map option so much.
    ;)

    @Violynne

    It's definitely something that can be fixed. It's as simple as offering the player settings on the map.

    Default would only show wayshrines and exclude dungeons, and everything else like before visiting locations.

    Layers can be in settings globally to turn on/off items found in the map key

    It's what's needed for Cyrodil as well cause I don't go there for PvP so I'd like to turn off all PvP and only see PvE but I cant do that unless im using the wayshrines inside Cyrodil not the keep port stones but I'd have to travel alll the way back and place a marker and then go travel again.....to a keep it's just a very bad set up and the fps issue exist on that map too
