I thought being a stamblade ment high dps but now its called nerfblade after the update on ps4 nerfblades will be the worst class in the game anyone agree

I still play a stamina nightblade for pvp just because I like her. I'm not letting any update stop me

After last patch, my Stamina nightblade became twice as strong, was weak before but now he kills with efficiency.

Perphaps you should think of changing armor set? Im using Gladiators 5 piece wwith deaths wind for survivability, medium armor, Dual wield. Can change deaths wind to something more damaging if you wish. VP 160+

Then again if you are one of those stamblades that only have rapid strikes on the action bar You maybe should learn to play.

In vet trials yeah, stamblade in PVE got a nerf, not so much in PVP.

I was pulling 41k DPS self buffed in 1T, when patch drops for Xbox, I except that number to rise. Sure Nightblades got nerfed, but remember all stam classes got nerfed in PvE, aside from Templar. Stamina SO had Hurricane nerfed, Stamina DK had Standard nerfed, Stamina NB had Incap/Soul Harvest nerfed, on top of all that Rearming Trap, which used to be the strongest DoT we had, got nerfed too. So what? It means you just have to work harder to get your place in a raid team and at that point you can say #More DPS than you on a subpar class. I play the game to play classes that I enjoy, that being Magicka Sorcerer who got a lot of love (too much?) and Stamina Nightblade. So yeah, who cares if in theory you're playing the worst class? I don't care, as long as I have my place in raid groups.

Thats the thing, with my NB i dont have a place anymore. People are forcing me to play my mag sorc, why, cause its much easier to survive with them and they do more dps, both single target, and way much aoe. Almost all trial fights are aoe.

Set bonuses from both sets are good for my playstyle, things die faster than before patch.

I make it a habit npot to be ape following some streamers advice, i test how different combinations works, and these are the best that fit my style, Another adds crit, theres extra damage to low health after initial burst and the deathswind x4 gives some xtra survivability if things refuse to die when stabbed.


Observing some other nightblades around Tamriel, it is clear, that their use of abilities leaves much to desire and they all seem to struggle. Take your NB to some few respecs, test what works and test different sets, dont spam abilities and dont just weave. Everyone should try out different things themselves, not just blindly follow some demographic that tells you whats best. Theory is often different than practical testing.

Just keep an open mind when playing and trying out builds.

I'm sorry but there is no way of defending those sets vs the countless other sets that are actually decent and good. I 1vx players who use sets like those, with my own theorycrafted builds.

I don't think magicka sorc can out parse a stamina nightblade, even in Homestead. With a pet? Maybe. But pets aren't going to stay alive or do what you want them to do for like 50% of the trials. In MoL I doubt we'll see a single pet, because that stupid thing will stand in literally every AoE there is and they are still stealing buffs. So I don't know if a magicka sorc can pull more single target DPS. AoE yeah. I'm pretty sure stamina are still better single target for the most part. Also considering the current meta of setting things off balance, stamina builds really benefit from that because there's also this passive Ruffian in DW that applies 15% more damage to CC'd enemies. I'm pretty sure off balance is a CC.

The only nerf in PvP for stamblade is Incap going from 50 ult to 70.

I cleared vMA on my stamblade after the patch, they work really well if you like their playstyle

Your NB is twice as good after the Homestead patch? And you back that up with generic L2P commentary? yawn...

Until somebody can suggest a way NB can become highly desirable dps to join high end difficult pve content, while not unbalancing them in pvp, you are spitting in a rain storm. Pushing flavor-of-the-moment medium armor sets aint even close to improving NB shortcomings.

PS. I pull 75k dps half-self-buffed. (That was easy)

I'm in exactly the same boat as you. Can pull 45k+ on my stamblade in the right conditions, and like 35-40k maybe if i push my mag sorc hard enough but I feel like I'm being looked down on when using stamblade, that's if I don't get kicked or rejected from the start.

So yeah I just stick to mag sorc which isn't quite bis and is significantly lower dps but I guess it's 'enough' and my god is it more survivable only been playing it properly geared up for like 2 weeks and it's like playing a whole different game lol

balance on today, I dont know how many magblades or stablades...but at all just nb is piece of shiet in group content, look on those leaderboards for vMoL, screens from today (pc eu)



sorc have 181 spaces
templar have 170
dk have 203
and our lovely nb have only 56 spaces taken on leaderboard from vMoL

every other class have more than 3x more spaces taken than nb which is going just to trash, only nb fetishists and lovers in this class will play as nb, rest normal players just rerolling into eny other class because any other class is much better than nb on trials (except dead stamplar)

EDIT: look also on leaderboards on other trials, on AA, SO or HRC dk, sorc or temp[lar have over 200 spaces almost to 300 spaces while nb on every this trial is less than 150 spaces

Guess i have the nb fetish, my first class, i dont care if a class gets buffed, but why am i getting nerfed cause of some pvp people whining. That ZOS saying that u can play whatever u want doesnt apply anymore. The community has just been brainwashed that as soon as u see someone playing a nightblade just run away from them. People dont even wanna let u TRY to play with them.

I have similiar, my main is nb since beta and for today...I mainly jsut playing on dk and on my nb just running between guild traders etc and crafting

while I have my skill playing as nb since this patch more often Im the only stam DD in group and just with alkosh to support rest group and almost never I see any other nb in group

Im fairly a new player, little over a year of playing. When i started playing trials was really hard for me. My own guild didnt wanna let me play cause i was a NB. I convinced them after a long time of begging, but now when it comes to vet trials, like its all gone.

Proc sets nerf is a nerf to stamblades

The cost of soul harvest ultimate was increased too

Black Rose nerf made it even harder because that heavy armou set may have saved stam blades a bit but now thats not great too

You should consider the magicka buffs too. NB may not get direct class nerfs that much but relatively got into worse position. Also trap and generic crit damage nerf should count. The slight DW damage help does not help either however tiny it is.
