When should I start crafting armor sets?

Crafting armor sets early on is a waste of resources since you level up fast and all the good content is in the end game so when should I start making gear for myself?

I only have one character, so I'm gonna wait until lvl 160 and then I can work on making it legendary, If I make an alt in the future, then I'll probably make training gear for it to level it up quicker. Otherwise gear just drops so quickly and is so quickly replaced while leveling it seems pointless to waste the resources on crafting a set.

If you have enough traits to make a set, do it asap. You don't have to worry about upgrading it, but each set bonus is basically another passive added to your arsenal making the game easier on you.

Now. If you want to max equipment crafts, get a headstart on the trait research.

@Gordon906 ...where ya at with your crafting skills?...I started putting sets on characters at level 10...

until I built up around 400 cp I would make them willows path plus 3/4 pieces of something offensive...

after 400 cp, all offense...until they turn vet...

If you have the low level materials you might as well craft armor for your low level characters. You won't need the material later in the game. No need to waste making it epic or anything like that, but why not do a set if you can.

If you are in a hurry to level put training traits on everything.

Night Silence, for doing thieves and dark brotherhood minigames, while wearing farmed/bought Night terror jewelry

Training gear, for leveling faster

When I create an new character, I give them 2 full crafted training sets at level 8 in green, then re-craft new training sets at level 20 in purple.

I find this will last them the 2 weeks it takes to get too max level at a steady play rate.

I usually make a training set at level 10 (second weapon set at level 15 for bar swap) and use that up to vet level. Really do not need more than that and the mats are easy to pick up on the alt. I don't even bother enchanting the armor, just weapons

Thx for the advice, I guess I will start maybe after 100CP since it would be a waste to replace it so often.
