New sitting animations: only visible to the person doing them?

I'm curious about whether this is a known issue or not. It seems that, among my friend group at least, nobody can see anyone else sitting in chairs. (specifically inside player homes, have not tested in regular zones.). The only person that seems to see it is the person doing the sitting. The others just see them snap from wherever they were standing to right in front of the chair/bench/whatever in question. (sometimes even standing inside of the chair).
