I've discovered today that my stats look really weird. I have all light armor passives enabled, all attributes to magicka, undaunted mettle 2/2, all medium armor passives are disabled except Athletics (2/2). Character is Dark Elf Templar, all passives for race and class are enabled, mundus stone is The Ritual (increase healing done). No food/drink buffs are active. Also I reset all champion points.
A few words about stats calculations under a spoiler.
First of all, I don't have any verified information how these stats are calculated, it's all pure guess from two very different characters observations.
Base maximum MP and ST values for CP160 character are: 7,958
Base HP is: 8,744
Each attribute in ST or MP stat adds 111, and in HP — 122.
So my templar with racial passives has: HP 8,744; MP 16,417 ( (7,958 + 111*64)*1.09 ); ST 8,435 (7,958 * 1.06)
Racial multiplier is applied last, so in my case base MP value is 15,062 and base ST is 7,958, magicka multiplier is 1.09, stamina mulitplier is 1.06
When I unequip all items (including skills from skillbar) my stats are: HP: 8,744; MP: 16,417; ST: 8,435
Then I equip Arm Cops of Julianos (CP150, Purple, prosperous, medium, +284 MP,
crafted today), and now my stats are: HP: 8,918; MP: 16,627; ST: 8,435. So a few points here:
- HP increase is fine, exactly 2% from undaunted mettle
- MP increase is not fine at all, looks like undaunted mettle is not working here: (15,062 + 284) * 1.09 = 16,627 instead of
- ST no increase at all
OK, next step, I equip some random monster shoulder, Infernal Guardian's Arm Cops (CP160, medium, divines, +933 MP set bonus, +324 ST enchantment), now stats are: HP: 8,918; MP: 17,434; ST: 8,778
- HP is ok, exactly 2% from undaunted mettle
- MP is weird again: (15.062 + 933) * 1.09 = 17,434 no undaunted mettle bonus applied
- ST (7,958 + 324) * 1.06 = 8,778 no undaunted mettle bonus applied
When I unequip that Arm Cops piece (leaving character naked) my stats are not the same as they were before: HP: 8,744; MP: 16,718 (instead of 16,417); ST: 8,594 (instead of 8,435). Re-login fixes that though.
So I logout and login, then equip another piece (and nothing else) — Gauntlets of Julianos (heavy, prosperous, +284 MP enchantment, CP150, purple). Now stats are: HP: 8,918; MP: 16,727; ST: 8,435.
- HP is ok, exactly 2% from undaunted mettle
- MP is weird again: (15.062 + 284) * 1.09 = 16,727 no undaunted mettle bonus applied
- ST (7,958) * 1.06 = 8,435 no undaunted mettle bonus applied, just racial
Now equip both Arm Cops of Julianos and Gauntlets of Julianos, that's medium and heavy so Undaunted Mettle bonus should be 4%. Now stats are: HP: 9,093; MP: 17,349; ST: 8,594.
- HP is ok, exactly 4% from undaunted mettle
- MP is totally broken, I can't even imagine HOW it was calculated
- ST (7,958) * 1.06 = 8,435 no undaunted mettle bonus applied, just racial
I have another character, Nord DK Tank, also reset attributes and champion point for him and found that mettle bonus is not applied to magicka pool too, this character lack don't have any magicka multipliers.
Results: Undaunted Mettle bonus calculation is broken somehow.
