Addon for group loot

I know there is an add on to tell you what loot your groupmembers got. What is it called though?

Just know if your in a group with me and you start bugging and hassling me about a drop I got that you want, it is guaranteed you won't get it. Now, if you ask nicely before the dungeon starts that if I get Item X in Y Trait in Z Weight that you would like to trade or buy it from me, you will have a much better shot at the shiny.

Several addons do this, including Wykkyd's Enhanced Chat, and GroupLoot (as mentioned above). Generally though, you get better results by telling party members from the start what you're looking for and asking them to consider trading. Comments like "I see you got ____, I need that" are going to get shot down more often than not.

Plan is to stick with the usual routine. Tell in group what i am looking for, and that i am willing to buy X and Y items etc.

But if i see someone dropping an item that i want, and they do not respond when i ask in group after final boss, i will whisper them directly with a specific offer for the item. I am doing PUG trials, and really believe some people just don't know what they are getting / don't care. Hoping some very specific "50k Gold for you Axe, if you want to sell it." could make a difference.

This is generally how I handle things as well.

Just because you know I have an item doesn't change if I am willing to trade it or not. If you're rude about it at all, then it's a no thanks.

As i am aware of the perceived intrusion, i was thinking of phrasing myself something like this;

"Hey! I am sorry to be so direct, but i noticed that you received this item as loot [LINK ITEM]. I am very interested in getting that, and would pay you XX gold for it, if you are interested in selling it. If you are interested, just whisper me back. If you are not interested in selling, that is also fine, and you do not need to answer this message - i will not disturb you again. Have a nice day, in any case ! "

Would be using Deome Chatadvert Addon to recall it immediately .. And i would of course stick by it, and not actually pester anyone about it. Just that one message, to see if i can get "lucky" with that one person who drops the Sharpened Wep i want, but don't link it in chat.

I don't think an add-on should reveal information which the base game didn't want revealed.

There is a reason this game doesn't broadcast loot, let you view gear of others, have group based drops/loot over individual loot, because it causes arguments and brings out jerks.

Not saying you are raasdal, but if I do a dungeon and someone doesn't state they need an item at the start (which you have said you do) then they start whispering me asking for things which I got I am going to get annoyed.
Now I am a very kind player, I gave an item away in a PUG the other day at no trade or costs because someone said right at the start "BTW if this drops I need it if you don't".

I do find the add-on invasive, and I have run groups with old guild members where they commented on every drop I got (before you could trade) and would suddenly be annoyed I was getting "their" items.

I just don't agree with the add-on giving insight into something the game doesn't make available by default.

Here is the issue. Its kind of like some stranger rooting around in my pockets in the real world, and then saying, "I see you picked up some Doublemint Gum, can I have a piece?" Why are you invading my privacy to see what I have?

Obviously tone and demeanor goes a long way in any negotiation.

However it really is better to ask up front for the item than to ask at the end. If you feel you need to ask at the end, you ask the entire group, "Hey, did anyone get any X Set Items?" That is a conversation starter. Whispering someone after the fact is good chance to *** someone off, simply because you are poking around in their inventory. Yes, I know the addon only shows what dropped, but it's still a part of the inventory at that point. You could also end up getting the item, but losing the chance to run the trial again with those players.

That is the risk you run.
