Building lofts and staircases
I'm only posting this out of desperation. Now that homestead is out I watched some tutorials and bought a house. However I really want to make a second floor loft thingy like one of the videos. Got planks, made the floor with a little trouble but it's done. What I can't figure out for the life of me is how to make a staircase of stone slabs up to it. I'm wondering if it's even possible to make a usable stair this way or maybe the videos are cheats (nice looking stairs you can't use.) So if anyone has made a loft and/or stairs to an existing loft, care to offer any advice? If there's a video out there about it feel free to point me to it. Thanks in advance.

If it helps, here's a link to a video showing what I'm tying to do: put a partial second floor in a house with stairs up to it. Since stairs are not a thing, we have to fake it. I've also heard of people making stairs from shelves, though I haven't seen any examples. If anyone had a staircase hack, please share.
