Constant Stuttering

I get constant stuttering not just when I walk about, but when I log in from the character selection screen as well. I am fairly certain that it is not my specs that are to blame as my rig is more than capable of running this. I've looked on internet forums and I hear mentions of audio and core parking on your cpu that can be that root cause of this issue. However, I do not want to mess my game up more than it is right now. I think I can rule out audio because I've already disabled both nvidia geforce experience and the audio driver for it.

This has been a really big problem for me, not only have I been kicked out of my main trading guilds but the game is unplayable for me now. So I would appreciate any help or suggestions on how to fix this.

How long are your freezes? mine go from 1 - 5 secs then game normally resumes, I have had no luck and have tried just about everything. I literally got a message from customer support stating "we have exhausted trouble shooting" So I'm at a complete loss. My specs also eat this game!

I also get this problem. Just last night I was trying to get my writs done in Craglorn, but I couldn't move two steps without freezing for a moment or two and then it would calm down, only to happen again once I started moving again.

The worst of it was back when writs were done in Orsinium, I could barely do anything during that time, the entire city of Orsinium would bring my game to a slow grind just to get from one crafting station to another.

It seems last night's patch bumped this problem up a bit, it was a bit bad with the update, but this patch just made it much worse.

A while back it would hit me really bad in Maelstrom arena. I'd have my game completely freeze for about 14 seconds when the first wave of enemies spawned on each level. I'd come out of the freeze dead each time.

Sorry bro but im glad im not the only one with this problem, it doesn't even seem to happen in high volume areas I can get it staring at my feet in the middle of the wilderness or mid zerg.

I fixed this issue finally by recreating a new live folder . Seems every major patch something happens and I have a bunch of old live folders now . Tried a dozen other things first to no avail .

I know next to nothing about computers, but am having this same problem. It seems to get worse and worse as time goes on, and things like trials are becoming nearly unplayable. How would I go about creating a new live folder?

Game will automatically do so for you. However it didnt fix my problem =(

I know this might seem dumb, because you've probably already done it, but have you tried removing all your addons?

yeah, dont think this really has any bearing on your game.

Just throwing this out here. Sometimes stutter like you describe if your OS is W10 is due to windows defender taking all your memory hence the game stutters. Have you run task bar in the back ground and checked your memory usage while playing ?

yeah, dont think this really has any bearing on your game.

I only mentioned it because when the stuttering problem was really bad for me in Orsinium, I removed them all, put them back half at a time, found that none of them was causing a problem, but somehow doing that solved the issue, and I don't know why.

Fixed my problem! I had cortana disabled bur it was still trying to start up? anyway problem solved for me atleast.
