Master Writ gets you a FAKE dye station :( - Edit Problem is SOLVED! Nothing to see here!

Ok so I did my first master writ and I had to make a gold piece of armor, which ain't cheap. So yay I got my reward things and spent it on a dye station, thinking cool, I can play with this in my house. Nope, its a fake. Nowhere does it say its a fake and I'm pissed. I wonder if the regular crafting stations will also be fakes and I'm afraid to buy them now because I just don't know. Anybody have more information on this? I don't want to fill my house with more useless crap that does nothing.

That's really upsetting, but I'm pretty sure the crafting tables will be usable, otherwise why would they let you "attune" them to copy a set.

Was it green highlighted in the area you placed it? Try moving it and making sure it is green, if it is highlighted yellow it is not in an area that can it can be activated.

That's weird, the one I had on the PTS worked. Did you maybe accidentally place it in a location where it can't be used or place other objects later that could prevent you from using it? It needs to be highlighted in green when you place it or you can't use it after placement.

On live servers, I can only confirm that the enchanting station I bought with vouchers does work.

Is it? Why limit the option?

I placed a few skyshards in ways that they are not interactable, but that's fine because I won't be interacting with them, they are for design only. You'd rather I couldn't do that?

The entirety of Homestead is about doing your own thing, much like the game of ESO itself. Why limit people? .

This. You have to place them in a level, unobstructed spot. The stations will glow green when it is a good spot when placing. If it's yellow or red, then you won't be able to interact with it.

Are you sure it's placed on the ground. If it's even slightly off the ground it won't work.

Make sure when you place any of the stations that they are green when you place them. If they are yellow, they will not work. If you place something too close to them after you place them, it could have the same effect of making them yellow.

Any body remember the fake newsy furor over the "stations wont work" when someone bought one of the furnihsings that was like a crafting station but just was a turn-up/turn-down fire thingy?

Very good idea, and I just did that. That's why I made the post, so people could tell me if I'm being an idiot and apparently I was. I am so happy this is now working now that I took it away from the rocks.
