Why I keep getting low FPS after the udpate? Even if I lower my video settings.

I don't know what you guys did, but after the update my FPS dropped from 45 to 15-20. I tried to change my video options and even with LOW on each option, it doesn't change much. Only if I change my video from 1900x600 to something around 400x300 I can't recall exactly. With that I get 45 FPS.

Also, when I set up my video options to LOW, after hitting apply, the game changes it back to Custom and Medium on a fewest options. Why the game keeps not applying my modifications nad instead it changes it back to something else?

Please, this is really frustrating I can't play this game from my PC as I used to before the update.

Some of us have the same issue.
I posted in the bug section https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en-GB/discussion/321041/fps-drop-since-homestead-patch#latest, maybe if you (and more people obviously) add your issue to it, it will get more attention

    Using any mods?

I am mod-less on 4k monitor and frame rate is fine outside of Cyrodiil.

I am not using mods nd it doesn't matter in and out Cyrodill I got the same low FPS as before. It is totally related to the update.

Not sure if this is your issue but currently changing the sub-sampling setting does not work - I believe it's always on high no matter what you pick.

This is a known bug and will be fixed in Monday's patch.

One of the major performance hitches in is that ESO is still mostly bound to a single CPU core. There's also a bug with some of the lower detail settings which is holding back performance as well. ZOS hasn't really commented about the core priority issues in a while, but performance should (in theory) jump up quite a bit even for people on lower end system if/when ZOS is ever able to get the game running more efficiently on multi-core processors.

As it is, the game is highly dependent on single-core CPU speed.

ESO completely maxes out a single processor core, and doesn't balance out other services to different cores. I have a lot of things running so this isn't the best example, but it's something you can replicate easily for yourself. If one core gets saturated then it brings all the other game performance down.

This + fixing subsampling should drastically improve performance for a LOT of people.
