What is a Craglorn "Focus Point"

In the 2.7.0 Patch notes, Gina posted:

"The Ra Gada style can now be found in Craglorn.
The chapters of the style are rarely available from completing Focus Points, and very rarely found by killing Delve and World Bosses, opening locked Treasure Chests, or following Treasure Maps.
The same holds true for the style item, Ancient Sandstone, which is more commonly found from the above-mentioned sources."

Does anyone have any idea on what she meant by "Focus Points". I'm thinking she meant daily quests, but if so, why didn't she just say so I really want to farm the Ra Gada style but have no idea how to do so other than raid all the Craglorn treasure chests.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, clarification would be appreciated!

I interpreted it to mean the world events with the skull-and-crossbone icons, like the anomalies and the nirncrux mines. I would also like confirmation of this, though.

You mean where you bring out those stones to summon a boss in some of the Craglorn delves? Before they didn't reward you with anything, now they have a chance to drop a Ra Gada page? Nice

I know for certain that the Magickal Anomalies drop them, but I only got one page from that. I have been led to believe that they will also drop from Anka-Ra group events and Nirncrux Mine events, as well as those randomly-spawning portals that you can interact with to summon a group boss. To be honest, though, I just ran around for a few hours and got it all from treasure chests. It was so much faster but that might be do to the (at the time) lack of competition.

Thank you for the tip, @Recremen . I've been running around doing anomalies, mines, and Anka Ra ... doodads, and I haven't received anything but sandstone. Treasure chests, on the other hand, seem like they'll go more quickly, even if they do have a lower drop rate.

Glad to help! I don't know if having Treasure Hunter matters, but I have that. If you are finding it's not going well, change your champion points around for a while to get that. Also having Harvest Map addon helps, with just the treasure chest pins turned on. Good luck!

I've been farming Magical Anomalies 2 evenings, once with and once without Treasure Hunter. I've noticed no difference in page drops. The drop rate is horrendously low regardless.

I did both, actually.

When there was a world boss group up I would join that for the better drop rate.

When a world boss group was not up, I would do the other activities.

Having finished a couple days ago, I can say the motif looks quite nice.





Not sure if it's a bug, but found a Ra Gada chests motif in a Stormhaven treasure map chest today ...

Well the consensus is there is no consensus, except just go fight the bosses in Craglorn and hope for the best It would be nice to get some clarification from @ZOS_GinaBruno. Why does everything have to be a mystery in this game?

9 hours farming chests and delves still just one motif. I got 3 kuta though

The Ra Gada drop rate is just ridiculously too low and just way to punishing.

No one is doing the focus points. Hardly anyone doing bosses. Can we please have a better way to get these stupid things in game?

@ZOS_GinaBruno ...Still would love some clarification on exactly what a focus point is? Also, I've been doing everything there is to be done in Craglorn for a week now, and no Ra Gada. Should it really be this rare? Three more quests to do and I will have cleared all of Craglorn with zero Ra Gada to show for it. This can't be the intended experience we are supposed to be having with this motif, can it?

I thought that might be it. So far, I've not seen anyone attempting these but once. A solo player and it ended like my attempt....quick death.

So, a Celestial Rift, then. Using the correct name would have gone a long way to avoiding any confusion.

-Those random white portals are Celestial rift
-Big ruins with a crystal in the centre and a giant Air Atronach as a mini boss are Magic Anomalies
-Mines are mines, nothing to see here

What about those events where there's that NPC asking you to help them cleansing corrupted areas?

The ones named Anka-Ra's X? Those are Anka-Ra Burial Sites.

5-10 minutes from what I've seen. I pugged a couple, then farmed the area afterwards a few minutes. The 'focus points' had spawned again.

FYI these are not solo events except for the strongest players.

With Treasure Hunter on my orc wearing darkstride + fiords legacy for speed, I got 4 motifs just from treasure chests the other night in just a couple hours, but that was using the HarvestMap addon with all (I think) treasure chests already marked.
