PSA: Do Not List Master Writs In Traders!!!

I know this has been talked about in other threads, but I think there needs to be a clear warning:

Master writs are being converted to the "Deadly Strike" set, which is non craftable, when listed in guild traders.

Reading through the other threads, it sounded like there was some confusion on how/when it was happening. Over the last few nights, I would list a handful of these in my guild trader (PC/NA - Rawl'kha). For two days in a row, it would seem that all but one of my listings would sell. Both times, I checked and the one item that wasnt selling was Deadly Strike. The first time I chalked it up to me just missing it. The second time I was getting suspicious. Now this morning, I had all my cloth and blacksmith writs get converted.

I now have 6 writs (337 total vouchers) that cant be used. I really think this is worthy of a hotfix, and I wanted to be sure people knew exactly how this was happening.

Edit: I have personally only seen this happen with Clothing and Blacksmithing. I dont think it could happen with Prov, Alchemy or Enchanting. Unlcear on Woodworking.

Edit 2: It does seem Woodworking is effected as well from other posts, but I cannot personally confirm.

God I hope they do something and fast. Not only am I out about 20k in listing fees (i took them all down once I saw it, dont want to be that guy), but 337 vouchers is about 2 million gold at trader prices. That might be nothing to some people, but to me that's a pretty big deal.

Nope. Have a bugged 6 and a bugged 109 too.

It happens on woodworking too. It affects all voucher quantities. I had a woodworking master writ for 47 vouchers bug when I listed it on Tuesday. It turned from a normal set to Deadly Strike after listing, and so it is now useless.

No. Mine range from 6 to 117.

The worst part is that these are worth less money each day. Also, the market is going to flood if/when they fix them causing a further drop in prices. Honestly, I would just assume they delete them and send me the 2 million gold they are worth...

I also have 2 more rather large ones that I am scared to list. Dont particularly want to take it to zone chat. There is a reason I pay for a high end trader.

Yeah, of course I would not expect them to send gold, just pointing out the scale of the impact. A hot fix to replace all deadly strike writs with a specific crafted set is certainly the best solution.

Yeah I would've thought this would be an emergency maintance straight off the bat, this is affecting the whole entire economy of these things every day, surprised they haven't had one even after 5 days since it came out jeese.

I saw a lot of the deadly strike writs on my tour of guild traders last night. I did the PSA thing in my trade guild, but I don't think anyone had any.

I mean if they cant fix the code, just make the set craftable. It's a dated PVP set that nobody uses anyway.

I just bought a writ with the deadly freaking strike set.

This was the last straw, I'm taking a vacation, playing other games.

I hope they fix all this crafting system and bugs debacle by the time I come back. This is a disaster.

This is also why I've seen a few people trying to buy up these deadly strikes writs at low cost.

I wouldn't go that far to double it but atleast change it to a known craftable trait, which this should have been an emergency maintance straight away since day 1 since it has a big impact on the entire economy

Wish I'd seen this earlier... just had a cancel a listing that is now deadly strike. Ugh. I'll hold off on posting this new one I got that I don't have the motif for.

@ZOS_GinaBruno this is a serious issue that needs fixed ASAP.

I missed it so can't say for sure.. but was told that they mentioned this bug in ESO live and that it would be fixed in the upcoming patch (I assume Monday)

I hope that's true! It's always a bit disheartening when they don't acknowledge an issue like this. How hard is it to pop onto the thread and quickly post a "thank you for letting us know about this issue" so that we know it is being looked into?
