Paladin Build?

Ian_Stormbringer
I have always played Paladins since my D&D days. Seems many guides are old out there. Can any of you help me with some suggestions?

1. I like the two handed look but is sword and shield more viable?
2. I envision heavy armor but is medium a better choice?
3. Should I raise all three class skills or just concentrate on healing and one damage skill?
4. Is a bow needed?
5. I like to grind crating and fishing. Is this the way to get me on my way to earning gold. (What is the best way to attain $ as a new character)
6. What would be a great alt character for my Paladin? (Sorcerer with Alchemy and enchanting skills?)

A Heavy Armor, Sword and Board Templar Tank. That's what I imagine an ESO Paladin to be.

For tanking, sword and board with heavy armor is viable. Raise all three anyway, in case there's passives or other abilities you decide you want. Bows are unnecessary. Stealing things, which might not work with your character concept.

Here's the thing, Paladins are a tank class in D&D. Their damage isn't great (there are item solutions around this, but in general, it's just not a class focus,) but, they can take a beating, and can heal DPS characters who take a stray blow. If you're wanting to replicate that in ESO, you're looking at a tanking Templar.

    1. Two handed is suited best for pvp shield is for tanking.
    2. Heavy armor for tanking medium armor for stamina build.
    3. Yes raise all 3 of them.
    4. If you are planing to be a stamina damage dealer yes. Else not needed.
    5. Best way to earn money on low lvl is stealing( not suitable for paladin eh) grind can earn you some gold, crafting writs are good for money income also(easier and shorter than grinding but only limited for daily)
    6. If you wanna create a crafter character make him master crafter in all profession so you dont have to farm each motif for each character. As for which class for alt is up to you since neither gets bonus from crafting.

1: 1h and shield if you want to tank. Otherwise I'd go bow or DW (2h is better as a back bar IMO)

2: Heavy if you tank, medium if DPS, light if healing

3: yes. Level as many skill lines as you can. There is no reason not to level them all.

4: only if ranged stamina, but I prefer using bow when I tank(I am Dk so I lack good ranged skills while playing stam, a temp probably doesn't need one). Use one if you like them

5: no idea. I still suck at making money.

6: anything works for an alt. But if you don't want to have all the crafting on your main I'd recomend creating a crafter to have all the crafting skills (I'd recomend an Imperial since their motif is worth more than 100 times the other race motifs)
