Leveling seem slow for anyone else?

I don't typically like to complain. I haven't played much since launch.. but after coming back for the housing update, leveling a new character seems really slow. I'm only at level 10, and even that has been dragging along. I get that this game is more about the story, and I can respect that, but is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is there some point where leveling picks up?

Leveling by questing is fairly slow if you do everything.
On the other hand that is the hurry?
You can grind to speed things up but that is more boring as I see it.

With one tamriel you can do lots of stuff while leveling, even do trials :)
That was an shock for an returning player like me

Some others might have some more tips.
Note that then you reach 50, you start getting CP and they take far longer to max out :)
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Thanks for the info. I guess I just wanted to get higher level to see some of the cooler items/weapons/skills. I know that I can level anywhere which is nice. I'm not quite sure what Trials are, but it sounds interesting. Still need to check out PvP as well. Just not sure how well i'll do without more skill options.

If you want quick levels, join a dolmen train in maps like Auridon. Usually just type x in zone chat and you'll be auto-invited to a team.

It's boring but you'll level very quickly.

IMO the big benefit to getting levelling out of the way is cosmetic. You can invest in decent looking clothes and then just play the game normally, without having to wear a mismatched assortment of whatever you happen to have looted, or settle for inferior motif crafted gear.

Haha dolmen train is a noob trap, it's super slow to level up that way. I mean, there are better ways to level up if that's what you really want to do.

Doing quest levelling (100% each zone) for one weekend and each evening I have got my new character to 48 in a week.

If you're not lazy like me or have more time it could be even faster. I did have full training gear on from 10+ however and ESO+ which would help.

I have gone both roads. Slow leveling by questing and being a completionist and fast leveling with training gear+potions+nMA grinding. I would say that even "slow leveling" is too fast, because by the time you hit 50 you are still massively short on skill points, undaunted, mage guild, fighters guild, etc.

Also, since 1T and level scaling there really isn't any "cool" items/weapons waiting for you at cp160. My advice is to enjoy the game and that it is the journey really. You would not believe how often I will get a character I like to 50 fast, get it geared out in top gear with max enchants and gold weapons.. then realize how much work I had left to get all the skill points and guild lines done. Then I will shelve the character and start another one. The leveling is what is the most fun.

So now I am working on a stealthy assassin/thief. In the last 3 weeks she went from 36-38 because I am really not doing things that give me much experience. But it is a blast!

Levelling up fast is easy to do, but don't forget you won't have the skill points to spend when you do

Leveling is so fast now its unreal, too fast in my opinion, so I'm surprised you say that!! And I mean it's fast just from.playing the game.
If you grind is ridiculous, someone did 1-50 in 90mins on YouTube in the double XP event.

Even if you jist clear the main quest, dolmens, clear zones and do some random dailys you can 50 in no time
