Nord Templar - need help with everything!

Okay, so I haven't really done any research in good builds because all of my time has been devoted to the solo PvE aspect of the game leveling up and doing quests. My main goal during this time has been trying to level everything up to 50 and maxing out as many hotbar skills as possible. This has been working out because nothing I face is too hard.

However I'm finally coming to the point where I'm exhausting all the solo content out there. All that's really left is the Craglorn story and then I'm off to grindland where I begin to do dungeons, trials, and PvP for endgame loot. I'm currently around CP 270 and I'm still running around in gear I've looted or got during quests. Basically, I need help with the following:

1. Attribute Point allocation - I currently have all 64 of my points into Health. I'm thinking of trying to be a Magicka Templar focusing on DPS. Is this viable? I assume I have to put all 64 points into Magicka. Also from what I understand there are no hybrids that can be super effective, meaning if I DPS I can't really be good in tanking and healing, correct?

2. Champion Point allocation - This is a real mess currently. I literally have like 90 points unused because I had no idea where to put them. As a DPS Magplar, where should I be focusing my points on in each tree?

3. Skill Point allocation and Hotbar setup

4. Armor / Weapon / Jewelry sets - Again, completely clueless on this. All I know is that people run Undaunted Pledges to get the best gear. As a DPS Magplar, what sets should I be grinding for?

--

I think that covers everything. If anyone has any input it would be greatly appreciated!

Rather than grinding, you can go to Mournhold, Wayrest or Elden Root and look at the CP160 Purple gear from the large guild traders. There are common and cheap sets for 1K per piece. You can easily get 2 sets of 5 pieces and matching weapons for under 20K.

Allocate your CP to 30 minimum in each constellation to get the 30 point buff. Magicka reduction cost, magicka recovery, spell penetration, etc.

Yes, as DPS you will be killed easier, mostly with Magicka light armor. But you can level it off with a 5 Light and 2 Heavy pieces.

This is just high level and basic advice. There are so much more tweaking involved as you start wanting the better gear sets. But you will see an increase in your character stats just by getting those 5 piece sets and all purple gear.

I've been playing since PS4 launch and I'm still learning as the game evolves and new gear is presented.

And regarding the skills, obviously you're going to have to re-spec to magicka based skills for both bars.

    1. Attribute Point allocation - I currently have all 64 of my points into Health. I'm thinking of trying to be a Magicka Templar focusing on DPS. Is this viable?
Yes. Both damage and healing scale off Max Magicka (and spell damage) so you'll want all 64 points into Magicka. Most endgame DPS don't invest anything at all into health, relying only on Max Health/Magicka food to buff their health pool up to an acceptable 17-19k. That said, you can invest more into health, just know that for each point of health you have, your damage goes down accordingly. In solo content it makes sense to have more health, gotta stay alive right? But in group play, if your role is DPS, you DPS. You've got a healer and a tank to keep you alive, and they need you to do damage.
    2. Champion Point allocation - This is a real mess currently. I literally have like 90 points unused because I had no idea where to put them. As a DPS Magplar, where should I be focusing my points on in each tree?
Blue being your damage tree: Invest heavily in Elemental expert, after that Thaumaturge, Spell Erosion, and Elfborn.
Red being your defense tree: find a balance between Hardy and Elemental Defender, some points can also go into Thick Skin and Quick Recovery.
Green being your sustain tree: find a balance between Magician and Arcanist.
    4. Armor / Weapon / Jewelry sets - Again, completely clueless on this. All I know is that people run Undaunted Pledges to get the best gear. As a DPS Magplar, what sets should I be grinding for?
For your first endgame sets I'd recommend crafting. :)

    Awesome, thanks guys.

I did some searching and saw this guide from Deltia's Gaming: http://deltiasgaming.com/eso-magic-templar-dps-build/#PvE

I'm thinking of just following this as it's pretty detailed. It goes over what you guys said, too.
