Graphics 2.7.5: Strange Glitched Screen on Loading (Mac OS)

In addition to the issues with graphics settings being too high and unchangeable (which I gather is fixed in the next incremental patch), I have noticed an odd new behavior. This is on a MacBook Pro mid-2015 model laptop with 16GB RAM, running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3. The attached screen shows up during the initial load of the game. I have to think this is an indicator of a problem of some sort, but until the subsampling fix goes live I won't be able to tell whether the two are related.
