Multiple Master Writ?

Hello! Do you guys know if you're able to have multiple master writs at the same time in your quest journal? I accepted a blacksmithing writ thinking I was able to make the set but as it turns out I still have 7 days of research left until I can make the particular set weapon... would I still be able accept other blacksmithing master writs in the meantime?

Yes you can, I had 3 last night. However, I still don't know if you can have multiples in the same profession.

Another blacksmithing master writ : no.

But you can still collect the master writ containers.

As far as I am aware this is correct, you can have multiple active as long as they're for different professions, any which are for the same profession you can just keep in your inventory and open once you finish the current one.

put it up for sale in a trader for a ridiculous price and delist it when you need to use it?

You cannot put writs on guild traders. Just the containers. And you can have as many containers as you like in your inventory. But you cannot have two master writs of the same profession open at the same time in your quest journal.

I don't see what the point would be to put the containers on a guild store with no intention to sell them.

Necro! Does anyone know WHY we can't have multiple writs in the same profession? Would make a great QoL improvement.

Just spent 250k on a BA motif to finish a crappy 19 voucher clothing writ that I accidentally read, so I could do the awesome 84 voucher writ the dropped this morning.

That was an mistake, I would have dropped the quest, you could bought an new 19 voucher writ for 10-12K.
You can however pre make items and accept quest in front of the master craft merchant and just deliver them

Presumably the same reason why you can't stack regular writs and quests like the Cyrodiil capture/kill quests. They're the same quest with different parameters.

If you're asking the design justification, that I'm less sure of... preventing hoarding? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

OMG I *totally* woud have never like known that reading something I meant to put in the bank wa a mistake without you *totally* telling me!!! You're my hero!!!!! Heartskittensdaggersskulls

Also, just because I chose to pay for a motif page I wanted/needed instead of paying for a "replacement" isn't a "mistake." The issue here is that we cannot have multiple writs in the same profession at the same time.

Oh, and TOTALLY had NO idea that I can pre-make items! (except that I do it all the time because I've been doing this forever and you should stop telling other people they're stupid)

You can only have one of each craft open at a time, but you can see what the others require. So you can run round doing all the woodworking writs you have, say, and turn one in. As soon as you turn it in you can open the next and as you have already crafted the item you can turn that in straight away, and so on until you've handed them all in.

It particularly helps if you have more than one of a specific set - get to the location, craft all the items, and accept contracts one by one as you stand in front of him.

You can only have one from each profession. So a maximum of 6 per character at the same time.
