I've never used the Volatile Familiar (so I can't compare them), but I've used the CF for tanking, and this is what I generally see:BlackSparrow wrote: »Can anyone confirm whether Clannfear has functionally changed, or is it just the Volatile Familiar?
@Kozai You have to keep Y held down while you press the mouse button. Left click sends them to attack the target in your sights, Right click makes them go passive until you send them to attack again. You can change the key bind for the command button as well.
Enemies will now aggro onto you or your pets based or who attacks first.
If you walk toward the enemy, they will very soon aggro onto a pet. If you walk towards and attack the enemy, they will no longer aggro to your pet. Using pet skill casts (like Familiar Pulse) also counts as you, the caster, dealing damage.
You essentially need to not hit enemies until they aggro onto your pet, then start to fight them. Also if your pet fails to hit them in too long a period of time, or your pet dies, the enemy will aggro onto you again unless you cease all damage dealt from your active skills on them.
