Shadowy-suplier furniture

Simple question: which option should I select to receive a DB furniture? Should I talk to Remains-silent? Could you post any pictures of the items?

I was not aware the shadowy supplier had furniture . I looked last night to get potions and did not see a different options added .

From the Homestead: Basics guide:

Shadowy Supplier: With the release of Homestead, the Shadowy Supplier will rarely award one of a selection of Dark Brotherhood-themed home decorations.

There won't always be something for your houses.

It's in the patch notes that the Supplier gives furniture as a rare drop. I have 7 characters who get alchemy mats from the Shadowy Supplier every day. I have yet to receive a Furniture item in 21 visits. I only choose the option for alchemy mats (and half the time potions I don't want, even though there's a separate potion option).

Today I will choose solely the "gear" option on all my toons and see if I get any furnishings.

Thanks, @Nanigae then perhaps I won't do that. I certainly don't want potions or crap gear. I did those bajillion quests on so many characters precisely to get the alchemy mats every day.

I received a furniture item from the potion option last night. I think it was poisoned blood that I got.

The "poisons and potions" option that I got the item from is the same option that drops alchemy mats, because getting alchemy mats is the whole reason I was going to Remains-Silent (in the hopes of getting nirnroot for writs, naturally).

I got a gross heart (literally a heart) from the equipment option my 4th try.

I was wondering this, too. I assumed the new DB Homestead stuff was under equipment as that made the most sense but good to know people get stuff asking for potions.

I'm 0/2 so far. I'll keep choosing equipment until I get something. Hopefully someone creates a list in the future on everything he has to offer and which option you need to choose.

Unfortunately the gear is only worthy of decon for mats. The alchemy one is almost always better. I'll post again if I get anything different.

You can get something from Remains Silent by choosing the Alchemy mats. I got a Vile of Blood just the other day. That's the only thing I have so far. Not sure if you have to choose the other items to get other things or not.

I think I can confirm that poisoned blood is the only furniture type that drops from the "potions and poisons" option. From 12 characters taking that option every day since Homestead dropped I've received 15 vials of poisoned blood.

I would try other options, but then I wouldn't be able to maintain my nirnroot supply and keep doing my daily writs without spending a bunch of time farming.

I got a Sacrificial Heart furnishing item from the gear (last) option on my first try. Nothing after that.

Pre-Homestead i saved up ~80 toxin satchels for the patch, mainly because Z0$ are incompetent at keeping changes uniform, and changing the writ boxes/surveys i knew they would miss out other boxes.

Out of 80 got 3 poisoned blood vials. Since the patch i open 5 a day and got 2 more poisoned blood vials.

I have gotten a 3 Sacrificial Heart's from the "gear" option.
I wish they were not bound items as they would probably sell well.

I've dug around on the internetz and it appears that each Shadowy Supplier option has a rare chance of dropping one item, for a total of 3 items total available. If anyone can verify that is incorrect, please let me know.

If you select the Potions/Poison option, you have a (rare) chance of getting the Vial of Poisoned Blood.
(glass vial filled with blood)

If you select the Stealthy option, you have a (rare) chance of getting the Light and Shadows light.
(small dripping candle sitting on a skull)

If you select the Gear option, you have a (rare) chance of getting the Sacrificial Heart.
(actual bloody heart)

can confirm this - have two of the three - actually also have two of the one from alchemy option. it is low frequency tho.

i need mats more than a bleeding heart so i just went back to the poison/potions option after getting the first two types.

I found out that if you select the Stealthy option, you have a (rare) chance of getting Candles of silence. Those the tall red candles (a group) that can be see in DB quarters. And unbound, I sold them on guild store.

Third option about Equipment is the one I've used and gotten things from. So far I've gotten a heart three times and nothing else.

Last night I got this drop as well - Candles of Silence, from the Stealthy option. So there are at least 2 rare drops from the Stealthy option.

It seems likely to me that it's symmetrical: the same number of rare drops from each option, but I can't confirm that at this point. I'm still farming "Stealthy" because I want the Light-and-Shadows light. (skull with candle on top)

If anyone gets something else from the Gear or Alchemy options, please post!

Gear option gave me the creepy human heart, poison option the test tube with blood in it.

I tried the equipment option and yesterday and <Remains-Silent> appears to be broken. My loot history showed I got a gold transmutation staff; however, in my inventory, said staff was locked. On twitter, some one else reported a gold weapon as well. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom

I hate this housing update with a passion, but that would have to be the one and only thing I put in a house.

There IS a Dark Brotherhood red banner with a black handprint. It's available from the achievement vendor in Kvatch for only 10K. You can have as many as you want. I personally don't see the appeal of an empty house with five DB banners and nothing else, but knock yourself out.

But if you hate the housing "with a passion", why bother having a house at all? There's thousands of hours of content; focus on what you enjoy, don't interact with the stuff you don't like. I mean... not only do you not have to interact with the housing if you hate it, you also don't have to spend your time reading forum posts about furnishings. I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm honestly at a loss as to why you came into this room to tell us the thing we're enjoying sucks.

For every one complaint I hear about housing, I hear a hundred other people saying they friggin' LOVE it, so I think the accusation of ball-dropping is pretty off-base.

To clarify:

I do not own a House aside from the free apartment given for completing the initial Housing Quest. I did that Quest, because I'm a PvE only player, and well... it was an available Quest...

I did not know that a DB banner was offered at any price at any of the vendors. As I said and you mentioned, I despise this Housing update. I think the way ZOS has added Housing into the game, was in "the most bare-bones content for the most extreme monetary cost possible to the Player" that they could have come up with. And it's those feelings that have led me to keep away from purchasing a House. IMO, MOUNTS are more useful to a player than Housing is in it's current iteration. So, directly because of that, I haven't checked any of the Housing supply vendors to even know what they offer to put inside a house. Why? Because as you mentioned, I hate this Housing update, so I purposefully avoid interacting with it in every way that I can.

The original spirit of my post was more of a "what if I owned" than an "I do own" for Housing.

And in your second paragraph, you wonder why I would come in here at all? Because it was a post on an Open Forum asking for people's opinions. I gave mine. You have given you opinion of my opinion, and I am clarifying my opinion here. That's all this was.
