I'm glad to hear it because I can't believe I didn't notice this before but there's a Banker here, too, for your Guild Trader selling needs. It's right next to the Dye Station! There's also eight Strongboxes for the larcenous.

As far as the loading screens go, so far my load screens to the house are the same length as wayshrine load screens, but going out the door doesn't take long at all. I was worried that it would be long like entering/exiting a delve, but for me exiting only takes about 3 seconds.

That is awesome to know! Thanks!

If the loading screens are fast, then the OP's plan is worth it and maybe I can make it work to do writs a little bit faster somehow.

Sadly, the closest to the DC Outlaw Refuge is Gardner House, for 1,015,000 gold. The primary thing I can say about this place is that it is in a place you'd otherwise never go. 3 floors, dark and ugly (at least it has a basement) and an L-shaped courtyard that ends in a dingy little stable. I suspect it will not be popular and it's not really convenient to anything.

I hope I'll remember to this thread when we'll fully furnish our hideout-headquarters in Gardner's, to post some pics about it :)

But tbh I'm against FotM things, so you're doing a good job, fooling others about Gardner's ;) thx mate!

I've already seen some people who have made the Gardner House an amazing place. Can't really have a FotM with housing. There's 49 of them and they're static. Depending on your desired set of features some are better than others, in particular it's hard to argue that for the cost Hundings is palpably the best deal.

Sleek Creek House is my residence of choice. Outlaw Den right outside your door and all the conveniences right in town.

And no doors between you and all the stations or suppliers.

Except fot the den of finders of recently dropped goods.

Another house to consider is Kragenhome. The Kragenmoor town it is in has stations for all six crafts, a wayshrine, and merchants. The only thing it's missing is a banker, which is why I bought the crown banker and parked him inside the house.

I realize this will sound nitpicky but Kragenmoor does not count as the type of place I'm talking about. The crafting stations are there but they're quite a hike from one set to the other set. When you have too many alts and have too many activities to do this sort of thing adds up to a LOT of wasted time. If you don't care, that's great. But it doesn't at all meet the parameters of what I'm talking about. For instance, Snugpod is wretched for this sort of time-saving. Grahtwood is by far the worst for someone trying to do Mage and Fighters Guild dailies, for example, and there's just no way around having to sprint around a place with loading screen doors between levels, unable to mount, crafting stations aren't even on the same instance as the Wayshrine, the Undaunted Enclave is nearby and that's the only reason I selected it as an "additional house to port to" that and the safe nearby Outlaw Refuge entrance and Stable.

I think I finally settled on what my "big house" will be and it's not remotely near anything useful whatsoever, but that's an entirely different discussion. Kragenmoor is a cool little town, though. The weirdest slums sub-level intrigues me.

Why did you then open your post with Snugpod if it's doesn't fit all of your own criteria? Just because you bought it? What an unnecessarily dismissive reply you've written.

I didn't mean it as dismissive at all. You only read it that way.

As to Snugpod it's got the good features I listed. When it comes to collecting cheap houses for various specific uses it's the best one for access to an Undaunted Enclave by far. EP's is terrible.

If Kragenhome fails your criteria, then so does Snugpod. And Sisters of the Sands is simply average and should be removed from the list, as it's far from both the wayshrine AND the crafters.

Lol, is this a joke? Gardner House is beautiful, enormous, comfortable, has generous outdoor space for an urban area, has more windows than any other large house, and... is not convenient to anything? Are you serious? It's a 7 second ride to the bank, 10 second ride to the crafting stations, 15 second ride to the Thieves Guild Refuge, and a Wayshrine is right over the bridge. Not convenient, are you for real.

First I bought Strident Demise as my primary, however I also bought Sleek Creek Inn, and use it more since it has an Outlaw Refuge right outside it's door, and Rawl'kha which not only has no doors or loading screens to go through to get to the crafting stations, but gives me access to 10 hot traders ( including my 5 at the bank) which is important to me as I buy and sell a lot. Also, my main Guild Trader is in Rawl'kha, so I wanted to make my home there:)

But really, it is the Out Law Refuge being right there with no NPCs that I love the most. Already saved quite a few blue furnishing recipes this way. I have found it easier to port to a house when in trouble with the law, then to a wayshrine.

Humblemud is the bargain but and it looks like many have taken them up on the bargain. Craft 1 provisioning station in your home and you are done. They should rename it "Little Rock Lobster".
