Anyone else having massive frame rate loss when attacking training dummies in houses?

I tried turning all settings to minimums but as soon as I attack one my game stutters down from 100fps to less then 10. Like I am in a cyrodiil zerg* or somthing. My wife can attack it just fine with me there and no issues but as soon as I do its so choppy. Am I alone in this phenomenon?
