No paintings in treasure map chests?

Last night I opened up several treasure map chests and didn't get a single painting. I asked around friends and my guilds and several other people weren't getting anything either. Is this a bug? Do they not drop from treasure map chests? Or are they just that rare?

This apparently it is a bug so perhaps do not use any more treasure maps until after this is hopefully patched next week.

Khajiit also used several maps but is glad she was too lazy last night to walk to where the other ones she held were.

Wow that stinks! Thanks for letting me know. Luckily I was also to lazy to use all of my maps. Definitely saving the ones I have left!

Yea that sucks.....I just went through and found most of mine. Thought I remembered reading that the treasure map ones would not dron them at all?

Might be a stupid question but can paintings be found from treasure maps in any zone or is it more specific than that?

I have seen them drop for folks in dungeons, but did 60 treasure maps the other day and found none....and the rng gods love me

They do drop from chests. Got mine from dungeons.

Dungeon chests yes, found in world chests yes but not it seems in the chests from the treasure maps.
