A masterful weapon in my quest log- Can I undo that?

I was opening my writs bags and in the woodworking one I got a quest prompt on my screen...I hit accept quest and now A Masterful Weapon is in my quest log. I wanted a physical item that I could sell or trade to other players. Is what I got different from a master writ? Also, if I abandon the quest will it put an item in my inventory?

Synfaer✭✭✭✭✭Nope once you accept the quest popup its in your log and cannot be retrieved.
A smarter way to do it would have been to just drop the MW in your pack...but who am i to argue with a pack of developers!1
