The lions den glitch!

Just done the lions den public dungeon with 2 of my friends and did not get the skill point? I never have done the dungeon before so I should have got a skill point, defeated the mammoths and the giant at the end and completed the quest but did not receive my skill point!

There are 2 quests in a public dungeons. One gives a skill point.

Then there's a group event. In the Lion's Den the group event is 2 mammoths and then a giant. You should receive a skill point for that as well.

This never used to be the case, only the special boss would give a skill point but the quests never did.

Unless in a group dungeon i.e. fungal grotto.

Nope, you're right, so I edited my post. I guess it's been an awfully long time since I had to worry about skill points. I wonder if the issue isn't that someone burned down the giant so fast the OP didn't get a chance to get 12% damage in or whatever it was set at to get loot of a boss? I can see overlooking the last boss in some group encounters but not that one. The screen turns black and the giant is aggroed before you can see the surroundings again. I know it wasn't bugged right before the patch as one of my characters happened to have forgotten to do that group encounter and got the skill point quite recently.

Let's make sure the game recognized you killing it, look in your journal, Dungeons, Public Dungeons, Lion's Den, Group Event. If that is earned then the game knows you did it. You should have gotten the point, but it also could have been bugged by the last update if your on PC.

The Group Event Bosses are not really at the end, but more in the middle. Although I think you can back track from the end and get them. Its an easy one to miss as you go through the place, and the path to the door is not exactly well marked.

If the game did not recognize it, then go back and try it again. Sometimes killing a boss out of position will cause this to not register. If you were not grouped with your friend and you did not get any hits in on one of the bosses, it won't count either.

I do know this one works as I earned this SP recently on a character. But that was before Homestead.

Does your map show the Dungeon Icon as White or Black? If Black, you have not completed the main quest for the dungeon. You might have completed the side quest, but not the main one. The main one requires you to kill 2 or 3 sub bosses and report back to an NPC at the entrance, the side one has to do with interrogation.
