Do u want account-wide achievement/titles?

^this. With homestead this is partly true (house titles are shared between toons), and proved this is plausible. What is the point of switching roles to take out trophies in bank to unlock achievements? what is the point of having to wash out your vampirism and get bitten by a werewolf, reach rank 10 and switch back even though you already have another werewolf toon?

Not account-wide is something I don't fully understand...and it's like the only thing that is affected is undaunted skill, but again, doing all the dungeons again just for achievement and rank is teasing and time consuming due to the long queue.

So, with homestead as start, let's make achievement account wide!

also, you have to switch roles if your current toon want to buy a furniture that was unlocked by your other toon just because.

    That is just troublesome.

    No I don't.

I use the achievements as a way to keep track of my characters -achievements-, as a way to see which skyshards I missed on this or that alt, what crafting motivs I still have to learn, which landmarks I may have overlooked while exploring, et cetera.

As such, I consider it disastrous to have account-wide achievements... either they would have to make all the accompaning stuff account wide too (which might please the "gimme crowd" for getting something at no extra effort, but would severely vex many who have been in ESO since lauinch, and did spend the effort), or they would make things a lot harder for those who want to check up on their characters current progress - and that IS the basic function of a "journal" after all (we do all remember where the achievements are kept, yes? ;) ).

So, personally I think the current achievements really should stay character-specific - the dyes are account wide anyhow. Want them on multiple characters - do them multiple times; don't want to spend the effort, have them on your main only and let your alts do without.

    ...

That being said... I do hope that someday they may add an "account achievement overview" page to the character select screen. So you can see which achievement was done by what character.
And maybe add some new account wide achievements... like, say, attain certain achievements with one of each class, or with one character for each alliance, or some even with one of every race... things like that. And completing those multi-character achievements could then unlock extra-nifty account wide awards for those who put in the extra mile and do something multiple times...

As for housing... true, the current system is a bit awkward. Which is where the "account overview" idea would be useful - just let the vendor availability for furniture items be determined from the -account overview- instead the individual achievements, that way we could all be happy with "the best of both worlds", the current achievement system remains so I can keep checking up on my characters individual progress, but everyone can buy all the furniture without having to switch around characters all the time...

No. I think there is currently a good compromise between shared and character only achievements. I'm happy for it to stay as is.

Most achievements should not be account wide. If someone wants to get all the achievements on all their characters that is a choice, but not something Zos needs to change.

Case to make my point, someone should not have the fishing achievement on all their characters just because they completed it on one. Many have put the effort in and completed it on multiple characters (which I cannot undestand) and others should not get the achievement just given to their other characters because they do not want to go through the effort.

For those not happy with getting the achievements all on one character and want them on others, that is their choice, they need to put the time in and actually earn them on those characters.

    Zos will not change this.

I voted no because there are titles that are gained when completing an hard content, just to say, vma stam sorc vs vma magicka dk, they are very different, stam sorc is a lot easier than mag dk, so IMO the flawless conqueror title has a different importance depending on the class you gained it.
There are titles btw that COULD BE account wide, all the grind ones (master angler, enemy of coldharbour, hero of x place). This because it doesn't require any skill to gain such title, just time, time is equal for every class, I can use a noob pg and a pro pg, the result for master angler is the same.
If there would a third option I would choose it to tell my opinion.
Just to clarify, dro mathra destroyer title is an hard title to gain, It identify you as expert end gamer, if you gained it on your mag sorc, this doesn't mean you could gain it on your stamplar.

Yes. Having to regrind achievments I've already done is one of the reasons I dispise alting.

But I think it should work like WoW. Where the rewards are acc wide, but each character had their own progression for the achievments (except for things that by their nautre are account wide, like CP)

I do not think all successes need to be converted, but motif and homestead can be nice.

But I think dungeon, quest and other like this achievement are for a character, not for an account.

Not all of them... For example its not the same doing vMA as a StamSorc than a MagDK. Im ok with events and general achivements like farming, but not character specific achivements or skill achivements like completing vMA, vDSA, Dungeons, even getting the Emperor should stay specific to the character...

I want a mix of both, some which are account based (like the SWTOR Legacy system) and some which are character specific.

Achievements that are specific to the character that earned them, like combat or dungeon achievements should not be account wide.

But does it really matter which character I was on when I caught that rare fish?

Well, obviously it matters in game right now, LOL. But its not like there's a tangible difference when fishing on my MagDK versus fishing on my stam warden, unlike how there's a tangible difference when I PVP or take those characters through dungeons.

I'm fine with the achievements being character-specific, but I'd like it if titles were account wide.

I like to use titles which suit the characters personality or what they're doing at the time but often I can't use the one I really want because of how it's obtained. For example I'd like to use Explorer on low level characters who are roaming around exploring the world, but I can't because you don't get it until you've already completed pretty much everything.

In other games it can also be a convenient way to let people know you're not new when playing on an alt. If you see someone with a title from an end-game activity, or simply one that takes a lot of time and effort you know they're not actually new, even if they're on a level 4 character wearing whatever gear they've picked up.

I have far too many exclusions for account wide recognition so it is easier to say no to everything.

I have one Master Angler, one Hero of Tamriel, several others who are heroes of their alliances, one 9 trait crafter - each one earned their own achievements and titles. It would simply be wrong that any new character I create would have all of this knowledge and achievements on the day they were created.

Imagine a level 4 toon in prison rags, going by the title 'Master Angler', being maxed out in horse training and able to craft a 9 trait set in the Hlaalu or Minatour style on his first day in Tamriel.

Progression and title achievements, character bound.

RNG drop achievements, I wouldn't mind if they were account wide, but it's not game breaking for me.

Nope... the achievements are for the characters not the player... you know what you have achieved even if its across different characters.

This seems like a being vs controlling a character issue. I am only controlling my characters they have their own identity.

Imho achievements are exactly for players, and yep they need to be account-wide. As an additional way it could be smth like if you have achievement at 5+ chars it will be account-wide, if less than 5 - character only.
