Hello,

So I wanted to create a different kind of discussion compared to usual and casual negative feedback and comment discussions, that I and probably most of us read on these forums everyday. So I just wanted to thank ZOS by creating a great MMO and all the staff/team that has spent a lot of time to try to please us demanding players, even in the middle of all the negativity that people usually post in these forums. I myself have played this game since the betas and I have been happy with it.

So people, show your gratitude to the team who has made this game even possible. And especially to the forum moderators who have to read all the negative feedbacks and still try to be happy and answer nicely. Thanks.
Been playing since betas 2014

Salty comments from upset customers are expected. Especially when recently there is a lot of stuff happening that people have rights to be upset about. Exploits, bugs and overall bad performance and everyone is entitled to express their opinion about this problem.

But yes it's good to know the developer's attitude is; it's ok I don't give a *** you take it as it is or you can go. 10/10 on PR!

I agree with the OP. I won't start on discussions, but just want to say how much I enjoy playing this game everyday, even if sometimes I get super angry with it because it doesn't work right or whatever xD Or the keyboard I broke in vMA <.< But anyway, I love this game, and I hope I can keep playing it for more years, as I've been playing it since beta, subbed. It is simply an amazing game. Thank you ZOS.

And tbf, I love how ZOS sometimes are, with their humour xD

When devs do something right, I praise them.
When they screw up, I throw *** at them.

Meh. To me, the response was justified. After seeing the hate and death threats the No Man Sky dev got, I tend to feel more sympathetic for them.

It's the Internet, hate is oozing out of every corner. Doesn't change the fact it's sort of their job to be able to deal with customers. I can see how that was supposed to be "I just won the Internet" reply but it really wasn't. It fell more flat than a pancake on a pan.

People think devs are these magic gods that grant their wishes. Me included. That is why I keep at learning programming and rigging and modeling when I'm not gaming or yapping on forums. You get a clearer understand about someone else's job when you try doing it yourself. Humbling.

I find it slightly odd thanking businesses.

I didn't thank Sony for making such a great TV, I did complain to them when they didn't do what they promised though (Bought one of their first smart TV's and was promised there would be more downloads we could add to the TV, never got one, only produced them for newer TV's)

I didn't thank Citroen for making my car that I'm very very pleased with.

I do enjoy ESO a LOT and play it daily, however there are still plenty of things to complain about in my opinion. That isn't me having a go at the devs, I know they work hard. It isn't me being negative just for the sake of it. It isn't me feeling entitled or acting like a spoiled kid.

It's simply me being frustrated at some of their business decisions, and the way it appears they sometimes treat their customers. And I know the devs aren't responsible for that.

Really, whenever people receive bad customer service from any business, people should complain more, then maybe companies would get their act together and think before they promise things. But with online gaming, we've become accustomed to accepting bad service as the norm, hence when others do complain, people just put them down with snarky comments or say things like "I take it this is your first MMO.

And you do get some people that will not hear a bad word said against their beloved company. A few years ago I bought a synthesizer for around £3,000 from a well known synth company . Their forum erupted as it turned out there was a fault with them. And they responded with total silence for literally months, and this obviously got peoples backs up. Yet time and time again, other owners of their equipment slagged off those complaining and stuck up for the company. I probably kicked up the biggest fuss. Most had their ones repaired eventually. I got the newer more expensive version free of charge to shut me up (from the retailer, not the synth company) :)

I have to say, getting this game to work on my pc actually required me to edit the .ini file and there was a point where I felt the game needed more content. Especially the latter will be an issue still for many hardcore players.

I'd been lurking these forums for a while before joining--mostly to learn about the metagame and builds and stuff--and I've seen crazy amounts of negative threads, a lot of which from the same players; people who stuck around despite all the crass and unnecessarily antagonistic threads outing discontent with ZOS. I always felt that, yeah, the game needed more content, but it was still a great game that kept me coming back. And the blaming and degrading tone towards ZOS won't make them change the game to your specifications.
