There was a lot of discussion on the PTS threads about the lighting in the Homestead houses being inconsistent and lights only coming on in some houses when you stood right next to the light source. Has this been addressed for the live update?? Is anybody having issues with placed lights not working??

That is very disappointing to hear. That's a deal breaker for me.
I've been reading through the threads and have not seen a ZOS response on this.
I think those that have not used the PTS will be very disappointed when they cant see inside their VERY expensive houses come nightfall!!

I completely agree with you on this @SadieJoan , I'm not spending €30-40 of real money on something that, in my view, is broken!

it seems to affect some people and some house differently. So you might not see it at all. Which is why people point to it being a bug and not a feature.0 -

I think its got something to do with the in-game time of the day. I was decorating the Gardiners House and the lighting was fine then after spending a few actual hours building a crafting workshop out in the courtyard, the time of day changed in game and suddenly none of the lights worked and inside of the house was awful.
But I'm just not sure. That's why it would be really helpful if ZOS could, forgive the pun, shed a bit of light on this issue!!

Some houses appear to be fine, but the bug can suddenly occur, even in homes that seemed ok before. Some of the houses seem to have the bug at all times (Ravenhurst for example, is very bad) but others can be deceiving, because they can look alright for a time, but once you start decorating and adding things, taking things away, or even just re-logging, the lights will stop working properly.
I spent extensive amounts of time in many homes on the pts (I was literally in some of the houses for an entire day decorating them) and I believed some of the houses to be fine, but it seemed to me that the longer I spent adding items to them, the worse the lighting became.
Old Misveil Keep, for example, looked to be completely fine, no lighting worries at all, until I removed a chandelier temporarily because it was in the way, the lighting was instantly broken, and remained broken even after replacing that chandelier...Sorcerer, Templar, Wolf Collector, Housing Addict!

✭✭People have been complaining about this on pts for a month now, and ZOS have said nothing, not a word about it. The 'bug' has actually become worse each time the pts was updated too. It seems that they are very quick to respond to all manor of other bugs and problems that have occurred with this HOUSING update thus far, but not those actually relating to the houses themselves...
