Developer comment about why standard of might nerf:

We wanted Lava Whip to hit harder since it’s a melee attack without increasing the overall PvE DPS of Dragonknights. To accomplish this, we reduced the bonuses from Standard of Might by 5% and increased Lava Whip by 5%. This gives Magicka Dragonknights a bit more pressure in PvP without increasing their PvE damage.


Did you know, stamina DK's use standard of might in pve? But stam DK did not get any increase dmg to anything, so its not something to compensate for either.
Any way you could compensate the whip by reducing the magicka skill morphs damage instead of the ultimate?

Was this really the only way to balance a DK? Couldn't just add a 5% more dmg to players or something, like you did with the marksman set?

    All stam classes suffered this patch. Only stamplar got a buff for PvP, but the sustain issues are still there.

    it would still be a nice idea if they gave us a Stamina Whip morph and an execute of some sort then at least we might be able to live with the hit to Standard

    Stamina as a whole became irrelevant this update. My recommendation: play something else until they fix what they broke.

    Maybe this is a bit off-topic but I actually went back to look for the original post to see the context of the dev quote you had there. I have to say it's shocking.

    This is a developer reply to a customer who asks about bug fixes? Really? Even if the comment was salty, perhaps there is a reason for it to be salty if there are things like allowing people to run around with infinite mundus exploit for over a year.

    that right there is an excellent display of social skills and just shows how in general you deal with feedback... makes me think this game doesn't have a great mmo future and not worth to invest more time in it :/ horribly dissapointing attitude

    on the topic thought; I doubt this is not intended, they will keep on bringing stamina up and down together with magicka and never balance it properly, pure reason for it being: crowns.

    They want to make people race change from patch to patch, doubt they are actually that incompetent as not to be able to roll a proper balance at any point.

    Dude, standard of might is the best ultimate in the game, not using it as a dragonknight is literally the worst decision you could make in pve.

    This is a big problem for stam dk, because they can't buff weapon skills, unless they wanna buff overhall stam dps ( which wouldn't be bad since stamina is already behind magicka), they should revert the trap beast change, completely unnecessary, for exactly the reason i said before, they should revert the minor and major force change, The only thing they can do is either buff venomous claw, maybe increase the scaling of this ability, make flame of oblivion deal either flame or poison damage, and not much else.

    Good points, flames of oblivion morph in favor of stamina, and also I personally think noxious breath are too weak. It's good if you want major fracture on adds but that's it.
