They don't.... They are abducted UFO style. They summon the Daedra, they don't become them.

I want to be wrong because I saw two problems here transformation can happen with other types of abilities to transform into monsters and the daedra is possible because what I said about the Banished Cells 1 and 2.

No just no. These are immortals you are talking about being transformed into. With no particular reason as to why some prince would grant you this ability. Your excuse for them is because vamps and weres are to commonplace. If the transformation is just a polymorph with no skill lines it is no biggie but serves no purpose. If it has skill lines it would be a balance issue just because any skill is a balance issue.

And I would love to see some world skill line alternative for mortals... possibly something religion-based, maybe like discussed in an old thread here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/231126/worship-in-tamriel-an-eso-religion-concept/p1

    Now, that's a great idea.

A Religion Skill Line for each of the Major Deities would be a LOT of work but would offer tons of scope for build diversity, RP, and just generally bring a whole new level of "realness" to the game-world.

I never mentioned anything about being "broken" in the first place.

    Did you not?

Werewolves and Vampires have become way too common.

    So they are too common.
That means there are too many of them.
That means some kind of balance has been broken.

And you propose a fix - Daedra.

I respond in kind, agree they are too common, and do need fixing - but because I proposed a simple, far more common sense fix than your jumbled and resource hogging proposal you got all ansty.

Now, I have better things to do that go back and forth any more, so I'll bow out.

Eh no, that means the concept is too common. and common != broken (in your own words). So whos assuming now? This is an idea, if you do not like it simply say so instead of diverting the the thread to your balancing issues and insulting me.

You can "officialy" become immortal by being a daedra (considering we are immortal since we keep respawning). As far as the reason why a daedric prince would grant this ability is simply to "serve" them. Now how to serve them can be accomplished by giving daily quests, pvp wars etc.

I like the idea of a skill line for worshipping one of the 9 Daedric Princes, but you should only be able to choose one.

Turning into a Daedra? Not too keen. Because technically The Vestige is already not completely human as he/she already lost their mortal body.

the ability to become a daedra would make them commonplace. I like the alien feel, like I'm actually fighting some evil being from another realm. what you propose would turn a once in a blue moon awesome battle into everyday monotony. virtual worlds need some otherworldly magic.

I have a better idea, how about a Monster Hunter skill-line for non-vampires and werewolves? You get blessed by a priest or something and you gain the skillline.

I totally would support them dis-entangling the last few monster hunter passives/skills from the fighters guild, shifting that one to "fighting only" and making a new world skill line for mortals only that focuses on monster hunting! Less powerful then the monsters, but with no drawbacks either... it'd just make sense.
And then hide it somewhere, same as the vampirism or lycantropic infection options...
