Ranged end-game PVE dps

Hello everyone,

Been playing healing templar so far (both in pve and pvp) and decided creating another character DPS oriented.

I really enjoy playing ranged characters. Wanted to create stamNB with bow/bow build, but guild mates immediately rejected this idea stating that bow/bow is not exactly unplayable but really unwanted and not competitive in harder PVE content. They adviced me magicka Nightblade or magicka Sorcerer.

Are there any other options please (Something like Force Pulse templar)? Or am I forced to be magNB or magSORC, if I want to do harder PVE content as ranged?

I wouldn't go as far as to call it "best option", but ranged magplar is a thing, yes.

Bow/Bow setups have basically the same issues as standard stamina builds: lower survivability (being ranged does help a bit in this regard), and highly focused DPS (low cleave) and mediocre AoE.

Any class can be played at range, and you can still pull more than 30k dps by yourself regardless of class. Magicka classes are favoured in range.

You can do ranged sorcerers, dks, templars or nightblades, as you can use force pulse and ranged dots on any class. DKs and templars benefit more from being in close combat, but still pull more than enough dps to complete all the content, no worries.
