Homestead and Surveys?

So currently I am sitting on around 50 surveys I've been collecting, should I save these until homestead releases or is there no point?
And similarly what about raw materials? Will there be any benefit to saving those to refine (potential new ingredient drops) until after homestead or not?

So I'm assuming the surveys no longer drop furniture mats.
