Definitely buying Morrowind expansion

but not before it goes "on sale". Seriously, it's not worth.

I have ESO for one year, but the lack of DLCs was touching me more and more. So I bought myself Guilds and Glory DLC bundle which is arguably comparable to an expansion.

Guilds and Glory bundle costs 5500 crowns, which I bought for 21 euros during sale. Let's see what I got for 21,- :
1x relatively big zone
2x small zones
1x small pvp zone
1x 12-man trial
1x solo trial
2x 4-man dungeons

Morrowind costs 40,-. Assuming that during sale it will be standard 40% off, get's us to 26,-. And what I get for 26,-?
1x really big zone
1x New game mode: battlegrounds (still not confirmed if these are for Morrowind expansion owners only but let's assume that yes)
1x new class: Warden (still not confirmed if this is for Morrowind expansion owners only but let's assume that yes)
1x 12-man trial

And I am not even comparing the playtime. Some may argue that from this point of view it's not even worth during 40% off, but for me battlegrounds alone are valuable. But standard 40,- are way too much if I see it from this perspective.

Waiting for the sale.

Battlegrounds and Warden are Morrowind only features so you will not get them in the game without the chapter. The zone that you're getting is larger than Orsinium which is considered the largest zone in the game right now. The story in the zone is looking to be by far the longest story added to the game since launch plus there would be a lot of side quests along the way.

This has been confirmed as only for Morrowind owners but can't remember where exactly, sorry

Is the morrowind expansion really £60? (PS4 on amazon.co.UK) is that for the whole game + morrowind? I can't find just the expansion. I really hope is not £60 for just the expansion. That's insane!

That's the complete game and just the basic version. It's on Game for £10 less tho.
Try the PS Store, you can get just the upgrade for a lot less. The CE upgrade is £50 and the standard may be around £30 but can't remember for sure

Ah I see, so the upgrade is £40 by itself? That Stoll seems pretty high for just a single game zone. Ill wait and get bit when the price comes down. I've still got hundreds of hours left to do anyway so there's no rush. Thanks :)

if the map size is not comparable to the old game then they have missed the point and I wont be buying.

I'll eventually buy it, but not gonna pre order it at the moment. Just too many upcoming games on the horizon, which funnily enough include Horizon, then there's Mass Effect and Nioh. I'm also gonna wait and see what this new BioWare IP is, so there's that too.

All things considered and whilst compared to the fluff we get at ridiculous prices, I do think Morrowind is priced more reasonably, but I would simply prefer to spend my cash on fully blown games at the same price just now.

I, for one, will not buy the expansion. ESO may be fairly good dressing & furnishing sim, with a bit of gambling on top of it, but that is not the type of game I am looking for. Perhaps if it was undressing sim, that would be more appealing, but still, no thanks.
Also, Pete Hines announcing the expansion did not help it. Way too creepy to announce anything but construction of a new Death Star.

    Pre-ordered.

As an ESO+ member I'm not too happy about the abandonment of DLC that I signed up to, but ZoS obviously knew I couldn't resist a return to Morrowind...

Useless argument, since "worth" is totally subjective :D

Yes,it may not be worth it to you...but to many others it is well worth it and then some :D

Personally I am waiting for end of mai to decide if I think it's worth it or not ;)

I'll skip the expansion. Could care less about PvE...and I'm afraid the arena / battlegrounds are going to be a balance nightmare. Which leaves the Warden class.....and it's just not worth the price. More important things to invest my money in.

I've pre-ordered the collectors edition because Morrowind. The hype is real

Same here. I also pre-ordered the Collector's Edition when ESO originally released.
