There's always been something about the tactics of both warfare and dueling that intrigues us as fighters. In ESO, I can appreciate the ability to stare an opponent down and never truly know his tactics until the first few strikes are laid down.
In my warband, the
Band of the Vigilant, we focus on the intensity and intimacy of the fight. Instead of the usual large groups, those within the warband are split into squads based on their style of battle. The process of our strategy is truly to divide and conquer. If there is anything the opposing factions should fear, it's coordinated strike and strategy across multiple destinations at once. When groups of four are laid across the map, each able to take down larger groups than their own, what could possibly stop them from nothing but success?
You may have seen us before in Cyrodiil. We've been seen using squads of three to take out entire outposts, sometimes combining the groups into more to take down keeps, or splitting them up to fully assimilate resources around them. You may have seen us in Imperial City, when around half of the flags are lit up at once in circular motion, and the other factions are devoured swiftly and with precision.
You may have even seen us outside cities, dueling alongside other opponents and looking for those who share the sportsmanlike behavior that we do. We often use that for recruitment. Duelists are just as welcome in our warband as any other style of player.
Although we are a fresh band, we are also an ambitious band. Come and bring your friends in the near future, and we hope to host large dueling tournaments with prizes, hold longer training sessions, or even work harder to help provided the necessary gear or tactics other allies may need. Hell. Maybe we'll all just meet in a tavern one day, discuss tactics, and drink until the bards sound funny. With squads being made based on the role of a player, whether
healer or
guardian or
brawler, it is often common and simple for friendships to be made along guildmates that you simply will not see in other guilds. I've often seen squads volunteer the same allies as before, simply because they've learned each other well and know they can take down a certain area.
I'll make some edits to this post if there's anything else that should be added. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Whether or not you join, I look forward to seeing all of you soon as fellow fighters.
