Races and Warden

Does anyone know if the Zenimax intends to change the current races to fit the Warden? It would be nice to have a suitable race for this new class as is the Dark Elf for Magicka Dragon Knight

    I hope not.

    I doubt it.

I thought nords had a frost damage increase, but it's actually frost resistance.

    I hope not either.

No one would play the other classes because the races are slighted towards Warden.

In my opinion, Bosmers are ripe for a change in their passives. Lets see. Nature magic, Pets and all.

I don't think they should make races fit more into one class than another. That's part of the issue for passives already, let's not make it worse.

I hope they equalize the races, keep diversity but standardizing bonuses such as 10% health for all races that adds health instead of 12% here, 9% there.

I think they should give Nords a 2% increase to frost damage or so, just because I think it would fit. It would let you play a Warden stam DPS with the coldest race in Tamriel, which would make sense to me. Other races would still be be better for DPSing in other classes, but this would put Nords on par for the Warden. This is just my personal opinion, and I am sure that there are many factors of which I am not aware.
    With cold regards,

    That's too logical.

A nord warden frost tank would be perfect, just give Nords a 5% increase to frotst damage or something.

For now, I'm pretty much settled on an Argonian Warden healer + pets. But I may change my mind 10 time before it's released :pensive:

A good idea would be to change the Breton adding to it the ice damage

I hope they get some nice shapeshifting.

Like all that druids in WOW that are starting to become the only-good things remaining in WOW.

They have changed race passives before, so I wouldn't be surprised if Nords gain a Frost damage passive and another class gain something else to make them the best magicka and stam races for Wardens.

We will probably have a lot more changes with Morrowind and maybe even some between Homestead and June, 6 as well.

    That would be terrible.

I thought they were looking at homogenizing all the races so you could play what race you want as which class you want in endgame content, instead all the cookie cutters we see now?

I hope ZOS let us know soon if some race will be changed or will remain as now

Bosmer makes the most sense from a lore perspective. But it will likely break down by the standard role optimal races.

The nature part but not the ice part. They come from a jungle.

I think the races are fine. It's more about mag vs stam - dps, heal, tank

No, you're totally correct with that. It's a bit weird ice magic and nature magic. I don't know a lore justification for their union. At least with sorc you can hand wave the daedric magic and lightning focus since daedra are normally weak to shock spells.

I will certainly be making a Bosmer Warden though. I have one called 'Roon' on live that I keep restarting because it never feels just right (I have a DK one I'm happy with though). I think he will make a great Warden.

I'm also going to go with a Breton (my 5th) as the reach-mage seems to fit perfectly.
