Morrowind 30 hours of story content ...

So I asked for some clarification on Twitter, and got an answer from Bethesda's brand manager, and the 30 hours of story content is indeed the main story of Morrowind. Apparently to do everything in the expansion could easily take up double that.

So Morrowind is probably around 60 hours of content plus the new trial. They should have maybe said that on the stream.

Lets say that I belive those estimates, the certainly werent accurate for me when it comes to Orsinium, but lets. 60 h of content - cheapest version 40 $, ESO base game content - 300 h - 60 $ at launch. Yeah...

If those estimates are true, you realise that there's AAA games for the same price that aren't 60 hours, yeah?

Not surprising. RPGs are almost always longer than advertised.

It doesn't invalidate the argument of this being a "DLC" though, since the same argument about having more content than advertised applies to Orsinium as well.

it could have 1000 hours of content, it would still be a DLC.


ZOS promised subscribers access to all future DLCs. Making a hard copy version with a silly collectible dwemer demon does NOT magically make this not a DLC.

Well I think I got my value for money with over 6000 hours in the game so far. Yeah
