Stam Sorc?

So I'm pretty new to stam sorcs. I'm looking to get more into PvP but I have no idea what a good gear/skill setup would be for a stam sorc. Any tips?

Stam sorcs are surprisingly more fun than one might think. They might be more fun than mag sorcs (I find the rotation tedious myself). Here's some tips for a general running around pve stam sorc.

Gear
Hundings and Night Mother are solid starter sets for a stam sorc. If you're a pvp beginner, Night silence's sneak speed buff might save your butt a few (dozen) times. It did mine, lol. @alcast loves twice born star. I think his toons wear TBS undies. When housing rolls, I'm pretty sure it'll be ten minutes before he has TBS crafting stations in his living room. Seriously though, he knows what he's doing...if he says TBS is the most powerful craft set, it's the most powerful craft set.

To round out the build, you can go with the classic 4 pieces of another stam set (Night Mother) then agility jewelry, which is...thank god...finally affordable. Or you can toss in a monster helm. I find Stormfist fun for general running around. Kragh is a powerhouse stam monster set. For pvp, Viper is a favorite stam set. Maybe combine w eternal hunt to really amp the dps to take out players.


Abilities
Stam sorcs are aoe monsters. Look for this to play better in pvp after 13 rolls. But...also look for a stam sorc nerf. In this regard, Hurricane is a BIS ability (it's what's getting buffed in pvp, but nerfed in general). Bound armaments is a mega powerful shield. Then you can round out your attack bar with dual wield abilities...steel tornado, rapid strikes, slashes. Sometimes I like shrouded daggers for range. Sometimes I stack hurricane and blade cloak for even more aoe carnage. The dual ultimate is a monster, IMO...love it. Crit surge and streak are also important for certain stuff, especially pvp.

Bow or 2h serves as a decent retreat bar. Of course bound armaments so you don't have to recast over and over. Vigor is a must...earn it, use it, love it. Dark deal if you have resource issues. Poison inject and endless hail on a bow bar. Rally and execute on a 2h bar.


Weird but fun build
90% of my play time is not spent in trials or pvp, so I don't always need BIS gear. Right now, for running around I have my stam sorc dual wield in Hunt Leader, Morkuldin and Stormfist. I run a clanfear and the Morkuldin procs a silly sword, both which count as pets for Hunt Leader's fifth trait stam and health restore. Combined w hurricane, his pets are ALWAYS procing the Hunt Leader, so he always feels like he has infinite resources. Right now I'm helping a friend with a new toon get his undaunted skill points and farm shoulders...I love this build in that content. It's silly, but fun.
