I think you are a bit off the mark here. The problem isn't them charging money for expansions. WoW has a MANDATORY monthly sub and they still charge MORE than ESO for their expansions, so whatever to that whole beef.

WOW, yes. But in GW2 for example, that is a B2P game like ESO, they charge for the expansion but it doesn`t have a subscription.
