Just wondering if any of you devs actually play on console for personal accounts, beyond just basic bug checks and stuff.

Just curious, feel free to help tag devs!

My question wasn't which is the better platform, I understand the benefits to computer gaming, there are also plenty to couch gaming with a console. It's a preference. I am simply asking a question directed at the devs. I am curious, I highly doubt everyone of them exclusively plays video games on pc, that would be silly. So with that in mind I am asking if any of them honestly believe it is their preferred way to play this particular game.

I play with a controller for haptic feedback but play on a PC. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Isn't it obvious? Why would a game developer, when given the option to game every day on a high end PC rig, have it any other way?

I play on Xbox and I am fine with PC being the go-to for best gaming experience. There are no illusions here. The original post was a troll question in that sense.

Graphics aren't everything. I have a kick @ss PC with 3 monitor setup and yet I play on my Xbox One almost all the time. It just feels better to me. I know that everyone else who play, play on the same machine as I do. I know no one can cheat by putting the details down low to remove vegetation etc that normally on a console would work as a camouflage. I'm not forced to use crap tons of add-ons (because on pc, if you don't use them, other players have huge advantage over you). I like that on console people enjoy the game for what it is.. an RPG. On PC is a nerd stat race with more numbers and text on your screen than the actual game. There are times when less is more, my friend.
I have 3 copies of ESO on PC, didn't touch it for almost 2 years. I'm enjoying the console version way more, despite it's issues. When Project Scorpio will be out, I'll be all over it and ESO.

Maybe because they only have a high-end PC rig at work, and they want to play games at home? Or just because they made a game which is available on both and (like many players) want to play on both?

Pete Hines has mentioned having the game on both PC and Xbox. But I don't know about any of the others.

I could pretend that I am a dev. If you want. Who plays on ps4. But I'm afraid I make things worse. However yes. I believe some devs do go on consoles to play. However I miss seeing those Z's over there heads. But I believe they are watching us. Without Z's. Some may play Cyrodiil to

The devs have work accounts on the console. Of the ones who have a real personal account, most if not all, are probably on PC. This is heavily due to the PC release being a year or more ahead of the console release and a good gaming PC will run games better than consoles.

Thank you for the answer, this post was in no way meant to be a troll and I do not think anyone was trying to troll I do understand graphics and such to some are important but was honestly just curious, not trolling.

I like my gaming simple. For everything a PC can do over and above a console, you know what you're getting. All the games work straight from the box so to speak. No need to check whether or not your console will run this game or that game or arse around for hours attempting to diagnose why the *** you're getting umpteen dozen crashes etc.

Had all this years ago when I had a gaming PC. Was great, but it's not without it's issues. Issues I'd rather not waste my time on.

Seeing on how bad the console UI is........no? I actually like ESO's combat better when using a controller, but the UI is just awful.

I can remember reading one of the devs is a big time console fan and plays the console exclusively. A few others do too I believe.

But to be honest, I bet most of them don't play much on any platform.

Devs are too busy not fixing cheat engine on PC.

But If you want to feel good with no real skill, pc for macros seems like the place to be.

Yes they do. On both EU and NA servers as well.

Last year, a mod (or dev, not sure really) was kind of caught out being in Cyrodiil on Daggerfall on Xbox EU. It quite literally came down to an instantaneous fix being made late on a sunday night when a fort glitched out and was unable to change hands. It was mentioned in a large group voice chat that it was unclaimable. This was the ONLY place it had been mentioned, and 5 minutes later the fort became "unclaimed" again, and was able to then be claimed by a new guild.

We figured it must have been one of the Americans in the group (yes, Xbox EU does have US players...), and we knew that one of them lived reasonably close to ZOS.

It has also been mentioned on the forums a few times by the mods that the ZOS console devs all play normal day-to-day accounts on them.

What I imagine xbox and ps4 players look like. Judging by chat, at least 75% of console games are <13.
But, I do like the southpark reference.

I've read somewhere, that devs play anonymously so nobody will reply you probably.
But I guess someone have to play on console, if it's playable then why not. Eso is good mmo though.
