That the Skeleton polymorph STILL does not recognize beast races, or make use of the khajiit/argonian skeleton models ZOS's artists made months, a year?, ago!

Please.

Is this the one from the quest? or the one from the executioner assassination quest?

I know the executioner one works for me on my argonian. I was quite surprised.

The quest one applies a standard human skeleton. No idea if the temporary transform in the quest does or not, however.

I'm not sure I see a reason for ZOS to devote clearly scarce dev. resources to this trivial issue, frankly. If they had graphics designers and digital artists sitting around on their rear-ends doing nothing then fine, but I seriously doubt that situation ever arises.

I think ZOS said somewhere that that's because it is not our own Skeleton, but we take the appearance of a Kothringi's skeleton.

But I don't think that explanation makes sense, when we take the context of the deal made in the quest. It really seems like it is supposed to be our actual skeleton. Still, the fact that they gave this explanation makes me think they don't plan to fix it :/
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

That explanation could make sense for the polymorph, but not for the way you look during the quest itself.

Hmm, that reminds me - it's been a long time since I've done that quest in Coldharbour with the skeletal pirates - did they ever fix that one so that the Argonian skeletons aren't just human skeletons?

The temporary version and the polymorph from the quest are both the standard human one, yes.

I think yes, I was there like once in the past few months. don't quote me on it.

What especially bugs me with this idea of them being "busy" is that it's a skeleton that already exists, it would just be applying it to a polymorph that already exists and having it be race sensitive. It breaks my immersion that the kothringi people recognize me despite suddenly going through intense bone restructuring and having my tail lopped off :p
