Not for the reasons you think either. I love housing in games but none of the houses really interest me. The island that I was looking foward was a deal breaker to me in that invisible walls prevented you from building on and around the volcano and the architecture was dull to me.
Please add more island types to the game with the same amount atleast of open space to build on. Various racial styles do not go well with island huts and rather have another architecture like khajiit or orc as a home in it. Less invisable walls... what's the use of a volcano of it has as much function as the rest of the update? Some mountainous places to build on would be great and all the attractions of a house should be reachable, roofs on redguard houses are an example of misssed opportunity
