Serious Post - Why am I having to re install the game again ?

Its installed on my machine, all 100gb and yes I play on the EU server so this shouldn't be a problem

Have you tried telling the game to do a repair from the launcher to see if it notices you have all the files then?

I just clicked "verify files" in steam for eso and it just deleted all my files and reinstalling again.

I didn't have the option, only install

I have the same issue! Played last night, everything was fine, now today no game, no pts, just install-button.

Installing now, just as long as my add ons settings are fine, I'll be happy

If you know the game is already installed, I wouldn't go through the hassle of reinstalling it again so soon until ZOS makes a note on whether that's a Launcher bug or not.

I kind of agree, expecially seeing launcer crawling through the procents slooowly. It got to be launcer bug.. But I want to play the game tonight, and answer may take some time.

I understand it's too late but if you encounter a strange bug like this in the future you can access the game without the launcher up until a new patch is released.
Just find eso64.exe in your steam file directory for the game and click it.

Thank you! It is too late for me, already clicked install and I'm too nervous to break something to cancel it. But might as well be installing won't fix this. So I'll try your way next.

Edit: oh and I do not have ESO on steam. But maybe exe-file is still somewhere.

Not a problem.
So long as you have it on PC it will be in whatever your ESO directory is.

is in your Program FIles/Zenimax Online/The Elder Scrolls Online/client folder

Isnt the steam version still outdated? So if you click verify it does not match the old version and therefor will delete/reinstall the old version.

@JamieAubrey Have you found a fix for this?

I tried to install, but after getting 100% it just starts all over.

I started game from eso.exe, but when signing in, it says I have outdated patch or launcher.

I'm sad

I found that if I wasn't running the program as Admin on my computer after any update or hotfix I'd have to reinstall the game as well.

After few tries and ten hours of installing, I'm back in the game XD
