The glowly daedric tattoos

I've always been fascinated over the glowly tattoos that the daedra have.

What exactly do the tattoos mean? Is their lore behind the tattoos explaining what it means or are they just regular magical tattoos?

I wish our characters could have tat's like those! I would do everything in my Nordic bath towel just to show them off...

Top guy: he dated this hippie chick named Kendra when he was in high school. When they went to college she got all artsy and he sensed she was pulling away. He got the tats to impress her, and it worked for like a week, then he realized she was also screwing Marcus the Greek theater major. Years later he still likes the tattoos, especially because they remind him that Kendra and Marcus are both fat, unemployed and poor. On the other hand, he keeps dying and reincarnating at the stupid alik'r dolmens in the middle of a Zerg, so...perspective.

Bottom guy: he's actually a bottom guy, which has its own special meaning within the gay community, not that there's anything wrong with that, but we need to verify that you're over 18 before we cover the significance of his ink.

How do you die enough in a Dolmen train to need to respawn at the shrines?

My guess it's related to their unique power (for those bosses), or related to their clan.

After slowly deciphering the daedric inscriptions on either back, I have found that the blue fellows back reads "Dude" and red gentlemen's back reads "Sweet"...

The pictured Ilambris twins are a specific species of daedra known as Xivilai, who are known for being excellent torturers and warriors. Their society is mostly caste-less, so the tattoos probably have little meaning.

No discernable daedric lettters, either. Just a bunch of squiggles and zig-zags.
