Help with magicka NB skill rotation

I just finished leveling my new character, a magicka Nightblade, and I would like some help with skill rotation. She is a dark elf, meant to hopefully become a DPS, but because I leveled through grinding, I don’t have much experience with playing the class, so I was wondering if other magicka NB players could suggest what are good skill aoe/single target rotations for things like dungeons and trials. Thank you very much for your help! :)

Destro ultimate. As a Nb, you gain ultimate faster than any class in the game. For DPS, make sure this is your bread and butter. Other than that, Twisting path, Wall of Elements is a good combo and Strife still isn't a bad spamable to weave when waiting for everything to roll up again

Thank you so much for the advice! :) I'm currently trying to level the destro ulti, so I can moprh it. I have a couple of questions; do I cast Strife on multiple enemies then? And can I use Force Pulse as well for a spammable? Also, for single targets, is Assassin's Will and Impale my two main skills? Thanks again!

Assassins Will is a beast and still be after patch, yeah I would use it on all boss fight modes. Works well with strife/force pulse and light weaving. I would do this in between twisting path and fire wall spam.

If you are on Xbox, my GT is my forum name. I can group up with you sometime and show you how I do my rotation. Then you can figure how what would work best for you

Magblades are a blast to play

That would be great but unfortunately I'm on PC NA - thank you so much for offering though! I try to watch how NB DDs play when I happen to be grouped with one in dungeons, however, everything is happening so fast I can't always recognize the skills used :) But even though I'm still learning the ropes I completely agree, they are a really fun class to play!

Go back, re-roll, and play the class through the game's storyline. You'll enjoy it and learn the class.

Yes, that would be ideal, I did that with my main character - all through Cadwell's Silver and Gold, and it really helps to learn one's class, and enjoy the story. However, this is the fourth character I've leveled, and I don't have it in me to re-do the quests :)

I am pretty sure none of the games story or zones help prepare a player for how to play end game content competently.

In fact, it mostly leads to falsehoods as your characters feel super strong due to none of those enemies having group based mechanics.

All world bosses, dungeons, etc...I understand your point in that some end game content has specific requirements, but one could also argue that those are just a small part of the game. Especially if OP has PVP in mind.

Yes, end-game content is definitely a very different beast, as is PvP - I created this character for PVE content mainly, so I guess I just need more playtime with her to familiarize myself with the class, and then establish a rotation. Thank you very much for your suggestions!
