How to sustain with dmg?

So I see people in vma and their running double destro or no heals and their somehow staying alive. Or their healing without activating abilitys that heal or pots. How do you heal doing dmg?

Surge, Puncturing Jabs, Siphoning Strikes and Inhale are all damage dealing healing

Sorcerers: Power Surge / Critical Surge
Mag DK: Burning Embers / Inhale (and morphs)
Mag NB: Strife (& morphs) / Sap Essence
Mag Templar: Puncturing sweeps
Stam: Bloodthirst / Blood Craze

my vma build has morphed to damage skills that heal as well, that means the more damage I do, the more self healing I do

like duel wield first two skills, has two morphs one that deals more damage, and another that heals while damaging

Forgot about Burning Embers, that keeps my Tank alive.

Folding these skills listed on this thread into your rotation can go a long way to keeping you alive. I have had healers on dungeon runs comment that they barely have to send any heals my way when I have these in my rotations. Of course I run into stupid the very next boss battle and then have to be resurrected.
