I was planning on farming some upgrades to my rings and amulets. The ones i use now are blue from normal dungeons.

If i have this passive. (Treasure Hunter) from Thief line. Will purple chest loot from vet dungeons be gold? Maybe worth a CP respec for a few vet farm runs?

Anyone know?

No gold drops using this. But you can get good loot like rings even from a simple chest.

It will basically upgrade the quality of your chest by a tier. In dungeons this means that simple chests will have set loot about 50% of the time and intermediate and higher chests will always have a set piece. The quality of those items remains unchanged. Normal will be blue and veteran will be purple.

So how do you get hold of gold jewelry from a certain set then? Or are they always going to be purple in vet dungeons?

@bitels They need to change the description of this Champion passive. It's not improving quality at all.

"(Unlocked at The Shadow Rank 75) Increase the quality of items you find in treasure chests."

That part is somewhat true, but in typical ZOS fashion, they've left it vague and confusing. Specifically, for overworld chests, purple quality items usually only drop in master chests, but with treasure hunter active, you will get purple from advanced and master chests, which makes hunting purple jewelry much easier. This differs from dungeon chests where the quality is locked based on vet/non vet.
