I did it! I beat VMA!

There has been many tears, curses and screams during this journey I foolishly put myself through.

Arena 2 was the first one that made me go through a rollercoaster of emotions, but I beat it! The next one to almost break me? Round 6. The rest weren't TOO bad.. but oh my. I was not prepared the the final arena. I believe I made 4 attempts at the final boss, 2 of those attempts being 4-6 hour sessions, and 2 only about an hour long. It didn't take me many tries to GET to the boss, but he would beat me up every time.. In yesterday's session alone I gained 3 champion points. That was ONLY attempting the final arena (once) and then just the boss round.

First I'd like to thank Applinator for telling me what to wear, what skills to put on my bar (at the start), where to put my CP (even though I can't have treasure hunter anymore) and the push to actually 'git gud' as a DPS and do it. Also, Alcast since my buddy actually found your build and it's what I started with! Well, the closest we could as I had some of the "better" gear options but not all! The skills I use (for survivability reasons mostly) isn't really that build at all anymore, but it's what I started with and what I used in dungeons that gave me the crazy thought I might be able to do VMA

Also, I'm feeling a bit ripped off by the ending of my epic journey here....




(Edit) Forgot to mention! For anyone who does this or is trying.. keep at it!! Also, where you hear it gets easier every time? Apparently it does. Last night I decided to head in again just to see..And within just a couple hours.. I was at arena 6 already. That was less time than what I spent on just arena 2 during my first run.

TLDR; Scrub did VMA. If Bizz can, anyone can.

Congratulations! I still haven't finished it but I do another arena now and then when I feel like a testicular pummeling.

I am considering putting myself through the hell again soon. But only because I want the staff. I really do hate VMA with a passion. It's about as much fun as pulling my hair out.

Keep at it @Karius_Imalthar !! That's how I did it. I actually did the first arena, then left and went back a week later. Just to go in with a fresh head each arena. I think I started in December, and did pretty much an arena per week. Once or twice I did 2 in 1 weekend.

Also I forgot to mention @Joy_Division 's super amazing guide was also a lifesaver quite a few times. Quite often I had to use to "nowadays you DPS past this, but back then you do X" haha. Congratulations, and nice staff you've gotten right there. I've still yet to receive a Maelstrom Lightning, but then again — I quit Maelstrom Arena quite some time ago.

Very well done @MissBizz I only joined the club in the orsinium event so its fresh in my mine, only been back in the last two weeks and you are right its amazing how much of a difference there is in timings. Nicely well done!!

Congrats! I beat it today as well so I know how frustrating it can be. Was sitting at the final boss stage 9 for hours trying to beat it. It's a fantastic feeling. I almost gave up because I'm only 350CP and figured if I came back later with more cp I'd struggle less but I kept grinding until I completed it. Nice job @missbizz !
