Buying a Home -- Benefits?

Am I missing anything with homes other than immersion/roleplay? A visual achievement placeholder is the only benefit I see, really. I see a lot of people upset about the cost of homes, but other than a title, is there any mechanical benefit to owning one? Do gardens grow reagents? I know there is no storage, but can you interact with furniture?

Most my friends have quit ESO, so showing off trophies would just be for me these days.

Not enough features for me, storage being the main one missing, so i wont be buying a house. Managed fine without one so far.

You can interact with furniture if i remember right though.

Main gameplay features are titles, target skeletons, attunable crafting stations, achievement trophies and a place to put all your assistants.

    You're not missing anything.

You can buy items to display which relate to certain quests or achievements, you can place crafting stations (which can be attuned to allow you to craft special styles) and place a practice dummy to test your DPS, oh and there's a few achievements for owning and decorating homes and the biggest ones give you titles.

But other than that it's purely a space you can decorate.

    Crafting Stations

Are these crafting stations ones where I can build specific sets? Or just a general one? If I could put something like Hunding's or Night Mother in a home, that's kind of neat.
    Assistants

Can I sell to them or using banking when they are in my home? I could see this, in combo of the crafting station, to be a way to avoid towns. I can also see this making towns even more of a ghost town than Vet14 silver/gold though.
